Good to know that the work is done on time. But before taking final delivery do inspect in detail regarding the paint finish & matching, rear windscreen (do a water test to check any seepage), hatch door alignment and locking etc. Also post the pictures of the car post-repairing.

Drive safe.

Good to know that your ride is repaired.
Have you taken a test drive in it as yet? If you can, please do so before settling the bill - check and ensure that all work has been done to your satisfaction.
And yes - pictures! And please let us know all about your experience in dealing with the workshop?

20k for painiting are they painting the whole car ?
AFASIK Dupont paint costs around 3k a liter max and whith that a whole car can be painted. Add to that some masking and thinner how amount will it cost to paint ?
Rest amount is their profit .OMG!!!.
And the denting is 8k for what ?

Finally got the car back today. Checked everything properly and it seems to be perfect. When I reached there the car was little dirty. After paying the bills the car was cleaned and was shining. Here are couple of photos that I clicked. As you can see they done their job perfectly. The interiors were also cleaned.

These are the pics of car before washing -:

Good to see your car back in original shape, spic & span. congratulations. The workshop guys seem to have done a wonderful job, kudos to them. So what was the final bill that you had to settle & how much of it you are expecting to recover back from insurance?

The initial amount that tthey estimated was 60,000 but the final amount that I paid was 49600. Dont know how much amount will be paid by the insurance company. I will find out in few days and update you all.

Nice to see your ride back, hale and hearty. Workshop people have done a good job in eliminating all the possible traces of accident.:)

Me too eager to know the final settlement amount.

The car looks original.

Wasn't the Insurance Cashless? IMO leading Insurance companies have tie-ups with A.S.S.C's and they pay their share directly to them.

The insurance was not cashless. Tomorrow I will know the amount that I will be getting from the insurance company.

Sorry for not updating this thread. The surveyor had gone to some other place and hence all the work was delayed. Yesterday only he has come. So in day or two I will know the amount I am getting from the insurance company.

One thing I noticed is that the portion above the rear number plate is rough compared to rest of the body. What should I do? I will post the pics of it today.

That portion is made of plastic and its difficult to match the factory finish on plastics. Ask them to rub/polish and re-paint if you aren't satisfied with the results.

Today I washed the car and cleaned that portion also. And to my surprise the roughness disappeared after cleaning the car. So very relaxed now.

Apply a good car wax there and rub with a soft & clean cotton cloth after few minutes. This would restore the shine even better. I have been using the Turtle platinum car wax and the results are amazing.

HappyRoadie, Ford seems to have done good work on your Figo.

Hope the formalities with insurance also end on a happy note.

How is the car to drive? Do you notice any difference?

Car is awesome to drive. Handling, ride quality is extremely comfortable. After repair also it is driving perfectly fine. No ratlling. Though cannot say if their is any noise coming from rear since most of the time I drive it alone. But as of now there is no squeaking or rattling. Even I am hoping that insurance thing finishes soon.
