Totalled Nissan X-Trail

Saw this car at the Police Station today. Seems like a total loss. Dosen't this have airbags, dnt seem them in the car. Since they are SRS airbags, there is a chance that the driver wasn't wearing seatbelts so the airbags didn't deploy. Also the car doesn't seem to have rolled over as the sunroof was intact without any cracks. But do note that there is some damage on the roof line as well. Don't think anyone in the car were hurt as there weren't any blood stains or anything.

Looks like the wheels have taken a hit, rocks or curb by the side of the road. The only thing these tall SUV's know to do very well is rollover, the damage all over the body, and the roof line is most probably because of a rollover.

When will people learn to wear seatbelts? Even people in those tiny Maruti vans do not wear seatbelts, and choose to test the strength of their skulls against a truck/rock.

Despite having that bullbar in the front...look at the damage. Shows that having a bullbar dosen't make much of a difference.

There is damage all over the car. But like i said, the sunroof was perfectly alrite so don't think it rolled over.

Saw this car today on my way to pottakuzhi. I was looking for it coz you told me about it when we met.

The cabin is intact, that's good news.

Looks nasty .. hope noone was hurt much. The interior looks fine, considering the external damage. Wonder if it hit something, and slid on its side. Damage on bonnet could be intermediate damage between impact and slide-on-left side.

Yes - the seat belts are a must, esp on highway drives. Have experienced the importance of them first hand, and now insist on everyone in my vehicle to wear them once I on the highway.
Some one also had mentioned that wearing seat belts seems to reduce travel fatigue ..

I too saw this car. Think it took a hit on a divider and maybe drove over it and hence teh damage to undercarriage and wheels. Teh wheels came of on one side.

Its a taxi. Think it belong to one of teh 5 star hotels at Kovalam and if so they have just 12 now

Saw it a couple of days ago. Wanted to take a few pics and post them, but had neither camera nor a phone with one.

I too saw this car today. Couldn't check this out more cos i was in some kind of hurry. This is so bad. But the cabin seems to be intact. So none of the passengers seem to be hurt. But this is one frightening sight.
