I'm in Noida ... Roads are awesome here, Cops here are on a verge of extinction.

Less traffic and no cops = I might jump a red light.
Seat Belt = well
Tinted Glasses = Yep
Overspeeding = well 80Kmph is a comfortable here
Overtaking from the left = Well Sometimes when ppl dont give way

I overtake often from left when the road is wide enough and the vehicle ahead has no intention of giving way -- especially heavy vehicles on the highway. I do overspeed on the highway, but rarely within the city. And sometimes I jump red lights when there is a lot of pressure on me to do so from behind and when the road is empty.

hmm...

first off, i think every one of us would be breaking traffic rules one or the other time...every day. Here are my follies:-

Crossing Yellow lines - Always..in every single drive
Seat Belt - NO. but then nobody checks this in Kerala..besides, my M800 doesnt have seatbelts!
Tinted Glasses - Yep!
Overtaking from left - hmm...never
Overspeeding - the standard of roads here keeps that in check!

Ok here's the rules that I follow:

I never jump red lights.
I never carry more people than the capacity. Hell I drive alone 95% of the time!
I ALWAYS wear a seat belt. Have been doing that ever since I started driving.
Do talk on the cell phone but with the hands-free on.
Only use the High-Beam on highways or to irritate idiots who drive with their high-beam on in cities.
Don't ride a bike anymore so no helmet violations either!
I have tints with 85% visibility.

See I am such a law-abiding citizen!!

As for rules I don't follow well I must confess I do have a problem with speeding. Nothing serious just that I'm never driving within the limits!!

Interesting poll, but very subjective, as I'm sure you realize!

Its more like the next car broke a rule by swerving across lanes at 40 kmph wanting to slow down to take a right turn thats 15 metres away. In such a case I wouldnt be left with any alternative but to drive past him from the left.

And all road users need to have indoctrination of traffic rules for homogenous driving mitigating any regular traffic violations.

Actually I am a good citizen, Never flout rules. But I end up flouting the rules everyday. I do not like it though. There no no free left turn near Manipal centre -MG road junction, but the cop there always tells me to take a left turn when the signal is red . I am just following his instructions. Not sure if this is flouting.
