VIP's and Traffic Jams

Why only saturday and sunday? Its a daily affair, yes I have seen govt. vehicles used for private purposes even on weekdays.

I have always seen the cops are over enthusiastic to stop the traffic much before the arrival of the VIP’s; this only makes the wait at these junctions even worse. Why can’t they stop the traffic five minutes before the arrival of the VIP? There are times I have seen even ambulances have to wait for the netas to reach there destination.

So today Sonia came to visit our little city and life went haywire for people on the road for a few hours! Needless to say i got caught in the middle of all that and was left wondering why should there be diversions and road blocks for her? Not as if she is a PM or President. Ah well not to divert to politics but still...
