While going we took the Krishnagiri-Mettur-Coimbatore-Palghat-Trichur. After Krishnagiri, the roads pretty bad all the way to coimbatore. From Coimbatore to walayar was good, and it turns bad again. We reached Palghat in the evening, and I am still not sure how we managed to take the vehicle safely to trichur. All vehicles travel with their high beams at break neck speeds, and the most competitive being the private buses.

On our return, we took the ottapalam-palghat-trichy-Tindivanam. The Ottapalam to palghat was quite good, with nature and roads quite good. Then Walayar was nightmare, and the initial part of the road to trichy was good. But as we got closer to Trichy, there were too many potholes. A very bad decision to take. Even after crossing Trichy there are so many diversions due to the roadworks. And this time due to the blinding high beam we could hardly determine the edge of the road, especially when approaching the diversions. To add to this there is a lot of bus and lorry traffic on this route, with some of the lorries having no tail lamps.

Prior to this the only other long trips completed were Delhi - Jaipur, Gurgaon-Agra, and Chennai-Banglore, this trip was a real adventure!!
