Pre monsoon showers are always like this (atleast everywhere in Karnataka that I know of).
Rains start pouring from Ugadi onwards. Its normal. Ask some elderly people about this. The new rains (since they have names set for the duration) start during Ugadi. (please correct me if I am wrong with the start date here)

Ejipura junction? That's where I used to live when I spent 2 months in Bangalore. Glad that I moved back to Mumbai...Was unable to find a person who would sell me an umbrella!. Even happy to read that there were no casualties in the various mishaps across the city.

God save BLR. try to save mother earth.

True, Govt should build a huge cover so that no rain or sun and cover entire city so heavy winds does not bother city anymore.. may be have a centralized AC ...

Then you cant drive those cars and choke the enclosed city. You should look at commuting in the city on those conveyor belts like you see in airports. And electric cars for carrying elderly people again like in those airtports. Reva, your time has come to resurrect your city.

Accident on 23-Mar-2010

Not sure if I should be reopening this thread, but same road, same place.

Heard that the inner ring road towards domlur (from Koramangala) is blocked becuz of some big accident (Bolero - Swift). And that traffic is being diverted.

Any news updates? Is the road still closed? Need to pass that some time after lunch today, so should I take an alternate route?

Infractions: 0/2 (8)

I passed that way at 815am - there was nothing untoward at that time.

my wife saw this enroute to EGL at 9:00 AM.She was stuck at this point for 30 minutes as they were trying to remove the crashed Bolero / Qualis .She told me that the bolero / Qualis was coming in wrong direction and apparently it was the most horrific deformation of the vehicle she had seen. But then it was in her words ,so i dont know exactly how bad it was.

Scorp vs Swift. Bonnets of both vehicles damaged. The Scrop was pointing in the wrong direction, and from the posts above, was going in the wrong direction. The back-up was pretty long, till the Madivala mosque. By 10 am, the vehicles had been moved to the side.
