Crash: Skoda Octavia + Chevrolet Optra

We survived this accident!

Two cars collided at the Haji Ali junction early yesterday morning, but fortunately no one was hurt.

According to eyewitness, Farid, a motorcyclist, “The two cars, a Skoda and a Chevrolet Optra, came from the opposite direction at high speed and banged into each other.

The impact was so much that the Skoda actually turned turtle.

Thats really sad to know.. another incident of speeding when will people learn that buying fast cars doesnot mean they have to be driven that way

that is indeed sad.speeding is bad but atleast at intersection it is necessary to slow down.they learnt their lesson without having to pay a heavy price and walking out of it.just hope they learn and so do others from this incident.

oh god!! now whats the scene like.. are the cops involved in the matter now?? because if they are involved then you are gonna have a hell of a TIME!!

doesnt look head one but side to corner kinds anyways lucky and shows both the cars have good crash absorption quality..

The optra at least seems to have taken the shock but the passenger cell remains in good condition. Good to hear that the Skoda guy made it without any injuries even i though, i suspect, his car would have taken the bulk of the impact. Why were the idiots speeding in a place which is notorious for its accidents? Hopefully they learnt their lesson and so did the people who read the story.

Thats a sickening crash maan ! and the fact that both the guys got off without a scratch just goes on to prove the AMAZING build quality of the optra and the skody !

and yeah the cops say they want the Haji-Ali signal working 24 hours....if only they knew that for all the motorists stopping at any signal after 10 pm is waste of time ! when will these IDIOTS on our roads learn !

Whoa! That's a serious blow the skoda took to flip it over! The entire A pillar has colapsed. The driver should thank his stars for surviving that!

From the damage it would seem that the Skoda was heading towards peddar road (or thereabouts) while the Optra was either goin straight towards the race course or right towards crossroads, and neither wanted to give way for the other, so the inevitable happened. The usual Indian mentality you see at any interection if the signals go out i.e. nobody wants to give way. Except this happened at high speed!

that junctions a bloody pain.... cars coming from every angle...it was better off with the circle before...but its suprising to see that the skoda suffered a harder hit compared to the optra....so much for the praises skoda gets for its built against the optra.

Both of them escaped with a scratch!! Now thats one reason to buy a big expensive car, for the safety they provide.
