I cant understand this. Its really tough to drive in Hyderabad. Looks like brushing vehicles has become the part of the driving style.

Yes it is tough to drive in Hyderabad but I was beginning to get the hang of it. The key is to move at or slightly more than traffic speed, and never brake till standstill. A vehicle at standstill cannot perform any evasive maneuver. Another unwritten rule is that you take care of traffic in front and others take care of your behind.

I was unfortunate since I was kind of trapped because of the divider and my car was at standstill.

Why 1K??? Try convincing the MASS that since you'd be paying from your own pocket - they can give some more discunts. They can keep the old fender and sell it as scrap... they can overcharge when you next come to them for any other insurance related claim...
