I don't say that all the Maybachs are strictly brought thru DCIL, but they used to register with them as Mr.Ambani did. But as its service is availed all over the world, DC HQ will pass on the information to its regional HQ as soon as any Maybach is shipped from Germany to any part of the world. I just say their regular procedures.

In the cases of "Living Gods" of Indian, mostly their luxury chariots are not brought leagally. They even fear to disclose that its their cars even if lakhs of their devoties see their God moving in it.

Living Gods in our country are really lucky. All of them enjoy luxurious life & travel in the most modern luxury chariots. They are making the earth as heaven not waiting for the real one. In south a Godess was using a white S-class & recently its heard that now she has upgraded to a Rolls.

The Maybach 62 is the knig of luxury saloon. It beats easily The RR Phantom EWB.I went in that car.You have got everything that you need like full electric seats , blind and tranparent sunroof ,L AND R A/C , bar ,.........................The quality is the highest.

It doesn't beat the Phantom in ostentatious show value/prestige/road presence.

I've seen both Maybach & Phantom together from Dubai. Both has equal road presence & but I felt Maybach to be handsome. Phantom look dated

maybe but the Maybach can go at 290km/h if you take out the speed limiter and the Phantom can't do that because Aero is so bad.

Agreed Abdul but if you are looking to do speeds of 300 kmh odd and you have 300,000 pounds burning a hole in your pocket then you buy a Ferrari 599 GTB or a Lamorghini Murcielago or a used Porsche Carrera GT.

You don't buy cars like the Phantom or the Maybach to drive them fast, they are bought to be wafted in supreme comfort. Top speeds are not really a deciding factor in this segment. Comfort, Image, Quality, Presence & Gadget count are the main factors. And just to remind you the sales of the Maybach have been disappointing and much below targets whereas the Phantom has been selling much better than it.

I didn't have a cameras at that time to click a pic, but seriously guys, u have to see it to belive, how large this vehicle actually is.

As far as I know, it is owned by some nirankari guru and is a personal import(i.e.non- DCIL) .
Kind of reminds me of Rajneesh with his 54 Rolls royce at his ashram in the US....

The nirankhari lot are based in Delhi. So why would this car be roaming in Ludhiana ?

Must be some other chap who owns this. I know the Radhasoami Beas guy uses a recent Bentley when in the UK (he visits a neighbours house in it evey now and then).

BUMP!

Old post but couldnt resist answering it.

On the Ludhiana - Chandigarh highway, there comes a Gurudwara. Shri Bhaini Sahab. The Babaji there was gifted this car by two of his NRI followers. Yes, that's the same golden car and is seen in Ludhiana lots of times as the Namdhari's in association with Appollo, have the Sri SatGuru Partap Appollo Hospital in Ludhaina.

Lil OT : Ludhiana ranks first when it comes to the highest density of Mercedes cars in India in terms of per capita ownership.

Bunny Sahab has put it very nicely.
Many times I hear that Ludhiana has highest no. of Mercs in India.
NO is the answer. Other cities like Delhi, Mumbai have more in absolute terms.

It is the density or per capita where Ludhiana scores.

I guess that got too much OT. so Sorry.
