The cars clear all potholes/speed breakers that come across them during driving as they are all equipped with suspension lifters that give an extra 4-6 inches when required.



Also, to answer other questions - The LaFerrari DOES belong to GHS, I don't know which journo was quoted as saying it does not belong to him. It is NOT registered in India however and will most likely live out its days at his London residence.

The R8 being rear-ended was a rather unfortunate incident. Blame lies squarely on the shoulders of the i10 owner/driver who was behaving recklessly. It is very fortunate that he did not collect people walking around on the road itself such was the nature of his driving on Sunday. The SCC is well within its rights to clarify that all three involved cars were NOT part of the Rally itself and had joined the drive of their own free will.

And finally, the R8 owner should get an accidental insurance claim accepted as he was not actually a registered member of the parade itself. Unless of course, he has made a warranty-voiding modification to the car.

A similar incident (accident as i would like to call it) could happen at anytime and anywhere. It was unfortunate that it happened on the day of the event, but no one can do anything about it. The person was just another person driving on the roads and not part of the event. None of the participants cars were involved in any mishap, the owners followed the instructions of Mr.Singhania and tried to maintain the convoy to the best they could. Next year too the owners would participate.

Well there is no denying, if the car is not part of the event its not. There was a SLK wrapped in red, SLS roadster, red r8, a BMW 4 door in red with a spoiler, these cars were not a part of the drive but they did squeeze their way from different place of the route. The R8 was parked at chowpatty and joined into the convoy from there. The Silver R8 that caught fire had joined in from haji ali and was a complete lunatic.

It was a white colour band the representative from the SCC told us it was the equivalent of the VVIP pass when we entered with the car. Hence I made the statement. I could be wrong and you are most welcome to correct me if I am. Yes true no Vip/participant was allowed but when a certain close friend of Mr Singhania requested Mr Singhania to let us in for a short time he obliged and the guards let us in and after the time had elapsed the guards kindly asked us to leave and we obliged I was inside the enclosure at the same time as you. also I'm not sure which friend your talking about. Anyway I've just received an awesome picture of the LaF from Ibrahim khan

Actually, this car came straight from Lamborghini Delhi AFAIK. The owner is an old friend and he lives in Surat. Car is here for another 2-3 days before it leaves for its permanent home.
