Nice yellow 997 Mk-I Turbo. From the looks of it, I don't think it's entirely stock. This one has quad pipes while the stock one sports dual pipes. It could be performance spec de-cats. Having said that, it could also be just replacement pipes.

By the look of it, it does not seem to be after market.
Looks like it is part of a package ordered with the car.
Nice car anyway , the colour of it is somewhat rare though. Do not see many Porsches in yellow.

I don't think Porsche offers quad pipes as an option on the Turbo. Look it up. They are an option on the base Carrera however. The only factory additions on the 997 Turbo are body coded skirts and a whale-tail wing at the back. They exhaust is aftermarket. Either that or the owner has replaced the dual pipes with a quad set.

@suhaas: I was thinking the same thing. The exhausts looked odd but couldn't put my finger as to why. Thanks for pointing it out. I think its a Techart kit.
@preetam: Here's a 997 turbo.

Anytime!

A bit OT, the new 997 Mk-II Turbo is a stonker. Have you'll seen it? Along with direct injection and LEDs all round, it comes with an improved version of the new Porsche PDK Doppelkupplung thing (!) gearbox. The idiotic buttons on the steering wheel have been replaced by a much better flappy paddle setup. Apparently, it churns out 500 horses now and over 70 torques! And all that right across the rev band. 911 Turbos have always known to have amazingly usable power right though the rev range and coupled with AWD, it creams the competition!

Ya I saw it yesterday while I was searching forums for a proper rear shot of the 997 turbo. But as is the case with almost all 911's it looks almost exactly the same as the Mk-1. But then that's no bad thing. :P 70 torques? Don't you mean 700?

Volkswagen Touran ??

I spotted a volskwagen MH-14 number plate. It seemed like touran, but wasn't so sure.

Do you know if its being launched in India ? and all I saw was a test vehicle from the volkswagen plant ?

No Shamik! I do mean 70 Torques! (70 KGM) or 700 Nm.

The new LED tail lights make the face lifted 997 Turbos a thousand times nicer looking to my eyes. It's one of those rare instances where a face lift (butt lift?!) has made a big improvement!

Also, the flappy paddles are an expensive option (as are all Porsche options). I think that is unforgivable! I mean you're already charging a fat premium for the dual clutch 'box, throw the effing steering wheel paddles in at no cost!

Wow that's a nice catch.The 911 turbo sure looks good but would have been better in a different color.Has something be done to the exhausts?
