Hey guys

The Mitsu Evo VI was the same WRC car that brought Mitsu its last ever win in the Evo in the Monte Carlo race in 2000. Check out this month's Autocar India for more details.

Hey

One thing about the displayed EVO VI was that it had rear seats if I remember. I dont think the WRC cars have rear seats in them.

And neither do they have speedo's limited to 180 km/h....hehehehe

Autocar is talking hogwash, they should have learnt by now NOT to listen to everything Hindustan Motors tells them.

Hey Rehaan, read this from Autocar, March issue. I quote "The car, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is the SAME car with which former world rally champion Tommi Makkinen drove at the first round of the 2003 WRC season in Monte Carlo."

You are right at what you've shown and said, and so have dippy n GTO (why would any team keep a rear seat and increase its weight...duh!!!). HM is just too hopeless with marketing and its info on cars. Damn!

Thanks for the quote Revvmaster, as i am 8000miles away from the closest autcarindia issue! ;-]

Yeah i agree,, but u see english a a strange language as that quote could be read either way... but i think it does seem to slightly lean towards what you were saying after i read the quote.
But i would still give autocar india some credit, but who knows, it might have been some intern writing the article!?
