Beautiful 911... is this the same car that was green and up for sale a few years ago?

this one isn't a C4S! The 911 C4S was introduced in 2002 and was built till 2005. This car is a pre-face lift 996 making it impossible to be a C4S. also the C4S shared the chassis with the 996 turbo, so if this was a c4s it should have been a wide body and not a narrow body. And the most distinctive thing about the C4s 996-997 is that its the only model Porsche uses it's trademark red reflector across the rear end in after the 993's. Still a fantastic Carrera 4 though!! pls ask your friend to change the badge!

You can see the diferences in the pics here

As mentioned earlier this car was green and its first owner HDIL guy from my neighborhood - she was MP plates then she went to bangelore. She was offered in Bangalore for 30/mid 30's 3/4 years ago hope prices now reflect earlier depreciation. With paint change she should be cheaper..I also wonder why the color change as the front/rear bumpers are deformed (not because bad re-fittment but bad repair) and not aligned which perhaps suggest she is a crash rebuild just a hunch.

Liv2drive the fake S too was discussed extensively when she was up for sale the (4 years back)

Enquired about this car. I was hoping it would be a 4 litre. Response as follows:

Xj6 3.2
No major accidents. Scraped a couple of times touched up with no visible flaws. No rust.
Maintained by Mustang Motors in Cochin. Service records available but patchy
Nothing major. Small parts on and off.
Wired wheels imported from Jaguar. Original unavailable (I liked those original pepper pot wheels!)
No oil leaks
All paper work in order registered and legally imported
And the killer - The bid price currently is Rs 10L

Makes Speedy's S600 look like a bargain. An XJ4.0 is worth a look but the XJ3.6 has average shove only!

Thank you so much for the information. Even my friend is not aware when I asked him and I couldn't make out any major difference in power as I hardly got a good stretch of road to pump it out. I think all the changes where made the previous owner from Bangalore. I was told that the Jweller guy who used it earlier has not made any change on it!

Some random photos during my last Cochin visit.

SLR kitted SL55 AMG at Rajasree Motors for service.

CLK also at Rajasree, I couldn't get any details of the car or its owner since my friend and service manager was on leave. Its said that its from Kottayam

Brand new X6 was spotted on my way from Wilington Island after some work. I managed to reach next to it with my 190D, but on the same toll it flewed away by the time the car in front pay it toll. So sorry for poor photo.

Tourage & Alphard at Chiriyath cars.

You mean SL brother and not the CLK. The CLK is stock in the other picture.

This car was advertised for 7! and now 10 Wow this beats stock market + bank Fd.

Speedy consulted me on pricing before sealing the deal and for the money he is spending on fixing her she was expensive. He paid intact running car prices for a car which needs considerable work. I am sure the jag will quote at 15 L soon

Now that we know, The SL55 belong to FIL of a fellow-bhpian.

Saw the Alphard(Vellfire) the last time I was in cochin, infront of Chirayath. Also a silver new TLC. Couldn't snap it as I was in a hurry.

Touareg seems to be a new one, most probably delivered from a Kerala dealer, wonder why is it on sale so fast.
