ya the X3 is cheaper bcos its built in Austria by a company called Magna Steyr on contract. Also its based on the 3 series. Hence X3. Also its smaller and has less features than the X5. The X5 is also more powerful than the X3.

het vip3r, i didnt understand the part about Rotax. I dont think the X3 uses a Rotax engine. The only "BMW" thats not a BMW is the BMW F650 which uses a Rotax engine and is a "badged-only" BMW.

The current X3 is a generation ahead of the X5. The next X5 (based on the new 5) will be much bigger with 3 row seating and then it all starts to make sense.

well my housemate has a 2005 X5 ..with a pana roof and all the goodies ..

hey guys,if this blew u then there is something else,that will blow u even more,there is a red LAMBORGHINI COUNTACH 5000 QV,,rusting away into oblivion in Mumbai too,,not far from choksi ,,in fact from choksi ,turn left for sndt,,go to the end of that road,,and where u would turn right for ramada palm grove,,turn LEFT instead ,,follow the road till u break out into the beach,,and take the last left,,its all dirt roads,,but this car is lying on the right side near a equally sad cabin,,behind a garbage dump

love it when it is all dirty ! the Panaromic Sunroof ...from whr the drunkies at the back stick their heads out and scream ...

thats my housemate who owns the X5 ,his dad just bought CLS in Saudi..
