Thanks for starting this thread Rush. Its better late than never. This thread should have come up way back in 2004 when Team-BHP was formed. The reason why it never started then was because
1. most of the member and moderator base was in Mumbai.
2. The import scene was not that not as it is now
3. Each spotting had its own thread - so keeping a common one did not make sense.

Today things have changed a lot. Back then it was rare to spot a supercar and regular imports were dime a dozen.
Its the opposite today. Its easy to spot a Ferman or a Lamborghini or a Porsche then a classic mercedes or a Cadillac from the 90s.

so here is a complication of some of the imports which are now very rare to come across.

Is the Impreza still in Mumbai? Such a beautiful car.

Here's yet another set of finds, mostly abandoned ones.

This Hyundai H100 was spotted at Mahim, down the road from St Michaels Church.


This one is the Honda Concerto, spotted somwhere in Matunga or Dadar, Im not sure.


One of the most random finds- a Daihatsu Move kei car, abandoned under the Jagruti Nagar metro station of all places. I guess it came here because someone wanted a WagonR but from another manufacturer, given how similar they both look.


A Ford Transit van parked inside a building in Bandra W.


And here's a Volvo S40 in Bandra W, which shared space with a Toyota Corona that is behind it.


I cannot stress this enough but the amount of imports in Mumbai, both in use and abandoned, is simply fascinating and one of my favorite things. Cannot wait to be back and do more of this.

I'm back, yet again, with another set!

Here's a 2nd generation Mitsubishi Pajero 3-door convertible SUV. This car screams 90s all around with its design, and its one of my favorite SUVs too.


Here's 4th generation Honda Accord, the one that catapulted Honda in the big league as was the best selling passenger car in the USA during its time. This one is left to rot at my uncle's building parking lot.


Here's the fifth generation Accord, which holds the distinction of being one of the most stolen cars in the States. Thsis used to be at Amboli, not sure now where it has gone.


Here's the second generation JDM Honda Odyssey, spotted at Bandra. At this point, Honda began selling two variants of the Odyssey, for Japan and North America respectively. Weirdly, Honda has retailed both variants in the Middle East too.


Here's the first generation Odyssey. Spotted this first time back in 2017, and then in January 2020 yet again.


Always love spotting a Patrol in Mumbai, and this is one of the Y61 Patrols Ive come across in Mumbai and Muscat.


This Y61 Patrol is abandoned behind National College. It's part of a used car garage, which also has a few JDM cars, including a Y60 Patrol.

Had seen this Cadillac Escalade in Bandra, some two years back. Those wheels are insane, proper bling.

I've found quite a bunch of Toyotas in Mumbai when i lived in Mumbai. Here are some of the sedans. With time, I'll showcase the other models too.

This model is the Crown Comfort, which was a popular taxi variant of the Crown in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore etc. Spotted in June 2015 opp St. Peters Church, Bandra W.


Here's another S130 Crown Super Saloon, spotted on rainy day in Amboli, Andheri W, back in July 2017.


And here's another Crown Super Saloon near St. Joseph's School, Bandra W, spotted in September 2018. I love these sedans so much.

A very unique import - a Chrysler 300 M. Probably the only one in Mumbai or even India. 99% this is a US Consulate Car - no reason for a private owner to import a 300M.

Nice find. These cars were very popular in the 80's and 90's - today they are rarer than even Supercars.

The brand might be dead for years (now being resurrected as an EV brand) & these cars don't drive well, but boy, the Hummers have some personality. Great looking SUV!

Thanks for this crown comfort pic in white. Having seen these in its typical red/grey color always in Hong Kong as taxi, I never imagined how it will look in other colors.
