The low starting bids reflect the risk in buying these cars, and the final sale prices will probably be well below market. They cars have been parked 2+ years with 0 attention, which will take a severe toll on future reliability.

My guess is that they will be bought by dealers who dress them up and sell to unsuspecting customers. I will be keenly watching what happens.
Pretty much. It will end up with some big used car dealers who will list them as "sparingly used, single owner, under 10k kms, just like new" after it's given to a detailer to sort out the paint and bodywork. A few engine parts might be changed to get them to somewhat working condition. Unsuspecting buyer will have to deal with all the rust and engine codes popping up in a few months.

re: Conman Sukesh's Supercars & Imports going on auction in August 2023

Hi Mods, there seems to be a typo in the title, requesting to change the title from Suresh to Sukesh, as the conman's actual name is Sukesh Chandrasekhar.

If I'm not wrong his cars were seized earlier as well, once in 2012 and once somewhere around 2017, anyone has any idea as to what happened to those cars, were they auctioned off as well?

Does anyone here have a MSTC account, if so what was the closing bid on these cars?

As per this article in The Hindu newspaper, vehicles seized from various places by Income Tax Department officials will be auctioned in Bengaluru on November 28.

Among the vehicles that will be auctioned are 11 four-wheelers — BMW M-5, Range Rover, Jaguar XKR Coupe, Innova Crysta, Nissan Teana, Porsche, Toyota Fortuner, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Toyota Prade — and a Ducati Diavel cruiser bike.

Re: Conman Sukesh's Supercars & Imports going on auction in August 2023

Yes, e-auction taking place on the 28th Nov. Found some mix up in different news outlet reporting of the exact cars going to be on sale but the reserve price seemed outlandish to sensible.

Outlandish:
1.7Cr+ for Rolls Royce (too high for its unknown state)
38L+ for Lamborghini Urus (seems too low)

Reasonable:
18L+ BMW M5
15L+ Toyota Fortuner

It's a Murcielago LP640, the first one in India bought way back in 2006. The car hasn't even been started for 5+ years, so maintaining especially an old Italian supercar would cost twice or thrice than the asking price as of now. The car has DL number plate and is deregistered as of now. So the new registration also would be a headache.

Even in terms of resale value, I don't think the car would gain that much considering it's a e gear and not the rare manual gearbox option which is going for a crazy amount in Abroad.
