As you can see it was being driven with window rolled down I saw the drive on the right side. On observing the picture closely you can see the meter console hump also.

I saw this car yesterday on mg road on my way back from college. The colour and the different wheels/hubcaps caught my eye. So thats when i noticed it was a 3 door i20. I got a better look at it and got a slightly better picture. it looked too clean and neat to be a mod or fabrication job. and yes it was definitely a RHD. and it had an MH registration.

How do a bunch of cars from an import surplus lot find themselves on indian roads? have they failed export quality tests or some such thing? is that why they got sold here? and when u say they were being sold at good prices, what kind of good prices are we talking about?

I think you answered your own question, the rational behind this export surplus must be same as that of other surplus goods. Usually car companies dispose these through big scrap dealing companies, one of my friend used to work for one such company. He told me once that how they are managing a auction for a lot of such cars for Hyundai.

I was passing under the noida sector 18 metro station today, behind a Rangy.
Got close, and saw OVERFINCH on the lid.
Anybody know the specs of this car, or pics?
Aint overfinch the one who do those range rovers, shown on TG, with the gunrack and drinks cabinet in the boot?
