Went to the Autoshow held at Anna University.
It was good but, was a bit disappointed because there was no Gallardo , F430 and the SLS AMG as promised

How can anyone 'smuggle' 400 cars into the country over any period of time, without clear and tacit support from someone in power or authority?
Is this not completely unbelievable?

I’ve always wanted to buy a sports car. After the England series, I went up to my dad and said that I wanted to buy a sports car and got his consent. On his birthday, I surprised him by bringing it home. It’s a Porsche Boxter Limited Edition and my family was thrilled to see it. I just bought them a house and indulged in this car for my happiness. Also, it’s yellow, which is a good colour, and fortunately, also matches the colour of my team in the IPL!

Q : So you plan to do quite a bit of driving around the city, just like Dhoni rides with his bikes?

Oh yes, I will. In fact, I drove it all the way from the airport till the team hotel, with Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) for company. I’ve been coming to the city regularly for five years now, and so know the routes. I plan to go to the stadium for practise sessions on my car. Chennai is a beautiful city; I love the roads here and also know the routes.

I too had seen the same long time back in Adyar. Couldn't take a snap . Maybe the owner stays in Adyar as it seems to be frequently spotted there

It's funny that Raina refers to his previous generation Boxster as 'limited edition'. Perhaps stock was limited, considering that it's an old gen Porsche?

Quite sure the car is based on the ECR. It has a white top - red body Range Rover Evoque for company. Seen both at different times in Nungambakkam imported car spotting zone.
