Cant do that Alaap, will start a new thread (or add on to an existing old thread). But will get pics. There are also stalwarts like Prabal who will be at the event armed to the teeth with pro camera. Expect some fab pics.

Anyways i am the first one to report.
I was there at 8.00 pm. The invite said 7:00 onwards but i have attended many a launch and preview, to learn that no one adheres to the time given.
Dippy and me arrived at the same time.
We were received by familiar faces from the Navit Motors camp who ushered us in and took us directly to a LWB Phantom. It looked killer in black. Bang opposite the lawn was the coupe, covered in a maroon satin velvet car cover with the hood ornament peeking out o fthe place privided for it. That was the only thing visible of the coupe.
Snacks and drinks were served as the limited guest list dribbled in. I was expecting a huge turnout. I was told the invitees were very few and exclusive. (Ahem! Ahem!
)
Then at 8:30 pm the car was finally unveiled. No drama, no loud music, no blaring drums, lights and faux smoke...nothing but a very subtle "and i present to you ...." Very classy i thought.
The people were so few that one could easily go and sit in the car and get a feel of it. No waiting in line etc.
The coupe, let me tell you is astonishing. It took my breath away. I had no camera so couldnt take pics but Dippy was at his clicking best. I sure his pics will be a pleasure to see.
It was a black car. The bonnet is steel finished in natural brushed steel going all the way to the a pillar and the quarter glass much like the last gen Honda City. The steel also surrounds the quarter glass surround. Amazing.
Then the rear hinged doors. Only two, one on either side, taking you back to the super select and Dukkars. Suicide doors are not what RR would like to call them. The inside was done in lovely hand stitched maroon leather, actually acres of leather. There are a few sporty changes onthe dash, welcome to make it look more driver derived. The best part is the roof lining. Once seated inside, take a peak at the roof and one's breath is taken away in an instant. The all black roof resembles the sky with thousands of bright twinkling stars. Yes the roof is covered with 1000s of fibre optics. What a touch. I have seen it in restaurants and hotels and In the boot is a landing tray and a picnic basket. How convenient!!
I was told unofficially that two of these beauties have already been booked. Who says there is recession in India??!!
I was in a hurry to see my niece's new born baby so i excused myself even before people came in to wine and dine. I politely skipped the request to have dinner and was out of there.
Now to go to Delhi and try to explain to the wife that i didnt accompany her yesterday to the capital because i wanted to see this!! Siggghhh!!!
