Could you post the cost break up involved? The cost of the car and the restoration.

One need to have guts & patience to do this. Its worth the effort you made.
How had it set you back on road.

That's a nicely done up car!
But why did you put a W203 pre-facelift bumper/old three slat grille/old rims on the car?
The crash pic shows the car is a W203 post-facelift model.(Judging by the front bumper & tail-lamps).
Original Brabus rims and tires looked hot!

@ayan! original brabus rims fronts faced extreme damage hence were replaced. The goal of taking up the Mercedes in salvage condition was to see that costs were kept as low as possible while making a decent looking premium segment vehicle. Hence I went in for the most cost effective and decent looking parts. I also liked the mercedes classic look was not enthused by the sports grill and managed to get a grill with carbon qouting for a steal in the UK same goes with the alloys. Also made sense for me to retain the original rimsize i.e. 15" rather than the upsized brabus 17's also I had a target budget of 12lcs for 2 cars hence had to axe things like expensive alloys. You can see the work on the second car under Mods http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...-i-bought.html Will be putting up detailed pictures of Merc tomorrow

Aatish I am confused I asked this before but was somehow ignored/missed. The car is an earlier prefacelift C and had facelift front bumper which sort of suggested she has had a shunt before this one, because only the bumper was changed (anyone wanting to bump up would have done the whole upgrade). Now you are saying you wanted the classic look and seem to suggest that it is an updated version! What year is this car?

The car is finished well but I would have still gone for new fenders as these are not entirely accurately tinkered back. If I were you I would get them fenders retinkered (if you want to control costs) by someone who regularly tinker C' s (contour tinkering is experential and cannot be done by using pics or any other ref point as and aid)

Look forward to info on how you achieved Rs. 12 lacs for both.
