@//M - You are right. Leela previously owned a 944. This silver Carrera in the picture here belongs to ace tuner and ex-rallyist JA. NK owns a blue carrera of the same vintage.

There are quite a few exotics here in Coimbatore. I have a couple of pics around which I have to dig up and scan (no digital cam pics). I do have pics of a Subaru WRX, a 67 rally-prepped mustang, rally-prepped vintage 911s, and a few more (which were here for the London-Sydney Marathon in 2004) and pics of a Ferrari 308 GTS which was here in CBE for a while. I'll look for them, scan and post as soon as I get my hands on them. There are a couple of classics here like a 70s model Chevy Chevelle SS V8, which the late great Mr. Karivardhan drove, which I have seen personally (but have not taken pictures of).

The red one is a Fiat (Couldn't find its name badge) and the other one is an Austin 8. Also see a well maintained 1929 Ford in Alankar. Worth a visit. :-)
I have closure pictures. I will upload them sometime later.

Believe me, a person I know has a Porsche Boxter (pre 2005) and I was surprised to see that he was the mechanic for his Car. He takes is out only during mid night.

There's a black CBE registered Land Rover Discovery 3 doing the rounds, do keep a look-out for it... think that's the only Discovery 3 in Tamil Nadu

well if its the only Discovery 3 in TN , then there is a picture of it posted elsewhere in the chennai section thread. Good looking SUV, but i think the RR sport is the best looking range rover.

I think it was imported through a dealer in Mumbai who deals in Rolls Royce, pictures was posted couple of years back. If i am not wrong, it is TN 38 AE registered vehicle.

Saw a Red Mazda RX8 today at RS puram .It didnt have plates and looks like it hasnt been used for a while. will upload pics soon ,some technical problems persisting.

I think that is the Rx8 which was on sale with an importer in Kerala. It was there in his showroom for long time with a 'not for sale' board. Then all of a sudden i heard it have been sold to a mallu guy but he is going to keep the car in his TN Garage. Which regn. was the car ?

Hey, it is not in any garage.

This RX-8 has been falling prey to my eyes for quite a few months, but i was somewhat skeptical about capturing it with my lens as it was parked inside the owner's house.

This is just opposite the CCD in RS Puram right? That guy also has a Chevy CAPTIVA, Honda CIVIC and a few more Skodas.
