Back in the late 80s, my Dad visited a garage somewhere in the Western suburbs to buy our first family car. There, he happened to see a Mustang fastback awaiting restoration with a new owner. But, practicality trumped his dreams and he bought a Nissan Sunny instead.

For decades since, Dad has loved the Mustang and at the risk of continuing , he always wanted to ride along in one.

Cue the kindness of Insideman, who owns this gorgeous 67 Shelby Mustang GT500CR by Classic Recreations. A lot can be said about this car, including its provenance, how it sounds and performs. But, on a sunny weekday afternoon, none of that mattered as I got to tick something off Dad's bucket list - driving around in a Mustang in SoBo.





A massive thank you to Insideman & his good friend CF for hosting me and my Dad so graciously. I am truly blessed to have such friends in my life.

He apparently has added the tercel (coupe/hatchback) a Pajero and some more, besides the VW golf (convertible) which was under repairs for a while at 4s in Mumbai.

The car is fresh out of a ground up restoration with a new motor. Its perhaps the engine settling in.

Big big update on the garage regarding JDM vehicles. Here’s some of the highlights:

Acura NSX (1 of 3 in the country and the only V6 one AFAIK)
Nissan 300ZX (former Horsepower Cartel fame)
Toyota Supra
Nissan R33 GT-R
Mitsubishi Pajero 2 door
Nissan Patrol





The smoke from the GT-R is because the new RB engine is settling in alongside the ECU, the more mileage she does the better it’ll get and knowing our man, she will do some good mileage!

Hey! My bad, what I meant was the only Manual transmission + six cylinder NSX in the country.

Now that Insideman is back and adding one of a kind cars to his collection, please check if you can update this thread!

Latest being 2 unique color G 400s, the G63 Grand Edition, the Maserati MC Stradale, the 911 GT3RS, etc.

Sure thing Mav. Have spoken to the man himself and will probably share an update in due time.

For now, the things that have come in the last few months are as follows:

1988 Toyota Celica
G400d in Desert Sand
G400d in Agate Green (the only one in the world)
G63 AMG Grand Edition
Maserati MC Stardale (1 of 2 examples in India)
Mercedes Benz 500 SEC
Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster

The ex-Horsepower Cartel 300ZX has also been repainted to Millennium Jade now.

The 430 Scuderia has been freshly restored at SCCG in Thane.

For photos, I shall ask Insideman for permission to share them. Either that or Ferrariwell / Insideman themselves will add those to the thread.
