Probably for their stringent quality norms, LED's might not have measured up to their standards. Porsche even has their own standards for the tyres they fit on their cars & they are reputedly much more stringent than the Govt/Industry norms in any country in the world.

LED's are of much higher quality and standards than regular bulbs. If companies like MB,BMW and even RR use LED's i dont see why Porsche wouldnt?
