Re: Ducati 795

Has anyone noticed on the website, it says available in India? There's something going on with the main distributor of Ducati in India is what I've heard.

Re: Ducati 795

Ducati has unveiled the Monster 795 in India. It has been priced at Rs. 6.99 lacs ex-showroom Delhi (huh, don't know what to make of that). Bookings open today and deliveries in March.

Re: Ducati 795

Many people including auto mags were speculating the price to be in the range of 5 to 6 lacs but IMO 7 Lacs is expensive. You can buy a daytona if you can wait for an year which in my opinion is a very good bike.

Re: Ducati 795

Is this going the CKD or CBU route, earlier reports mentioned that it would be via the CKD route from Ducati's Thailand plant. Probably that is not the case.

Well anyway, no point for me to complain considering Ducati still does not have a showroom in Hyderabad.

Re: Ducati 795

Ducati 795 will come to india via CBU. It comes as CKD to Thailand. IMO Ducati could have priced 795 well if it was coming to india via CKD.

Ducati will open 11 more dealerships by June 2012 including cities like Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Kolkata.

Okay, the pricing makes it one less bike to consider.

Re: Ducati 795

The pricing is on the expensive side.

Let Ducati make the most of the next few months and then they can think back and repent on the pricing, for then Triumphs will rule the roost if they stick to the pricing.

Jay,
Would this mean that the 796 model would be no longer in sale for Indian market?

I have no concrete news of this Mahesh and have been too lazy following up on what Ducati has been doing so far.

But I think it just might turn out to be true. Same engine specs, slight cosmetic changes and one may wonder why both are in the market albeit with the slight price difference.

Re: Ducati 795

I just go an email from the PR folks. The prices has been dropped to 5.99 lakh for a "limited time only". Go figure

Could you please post a screenshot of email? That will help prospective buyers to finalize immediately

Looks like its not a limited period offer.

We can see effect of Triumph's pricing already on Ducati 795 which was launched a couple of days ago. I am sure all future launch / release will be priced carefully

+1 looks like 5.99 seems to be the magic number we should look for(as a limited time offer)

But sincerely that was very quick price correction , wonder when this limited time offer will end.

Re: Ducati 795

Guys read some thing on the other forum - I would advice against going in for Ducati

"She confirmed that Ducati currently has only one showroom in India. ie, Mumbai as the Bangalore and Delhi showrooms are shutdown. So we will need to book the bike from Mumbai showroom. WRS to service, Service person will come down to Bangalore from Mumbai, when required..."

Only one showroom for entire INDIA ? !
