Well the market is about 6lakhs for the 2014, rest depends on the condition and registration state.
I actually did not pay a single penny for the ninja , consider it as a key to key exchange for the CBR.

Bandit got the required attention finally. Have a look at the pics.

Swingarm bearings and bushes were replaced as there was a wobble from the rear wheel which is sorted now.

Parking issues are sorted, no longer staying in the apartment. Its a own house with private parking space.

Enjoyed both the bikes on all the weekends of the riding season. Did some service and tuning , changed the exhausts.

Had got a spare throttle body for the bandit some time back as I want to remove the secondary butterflies as a next step towards the basic mods.
Cleaned the spare one and installed on the bike. The one which was on the bike was remove and cleaned.

re: My Garage: Suzuki Bandit GSF1250, Kawasaki Ninja 1000 Z1000SX & 2016 Triumph Thunderbird Storm 1700

Forgot to add in the previous post, I have bought a Suzuki diagnostic tool called the SDS Tool which can scan almost all the Fi models of Suzuki. haven't got used to it, still learning it features. Did not click any images while I used it on the bandit to reset few things

Connected on a friend's Busa. Have got this folding dining table which was in the previous home and have fixed it in the parking lot which I use as a work station while working on my vehicles.

Would you mind sharing where did you source the SDS diagnostic tool?

I am assuming you have the stock software used by Suzuki service centers and incorporates all the database files.

Its a clone bro not the original $750 SDS Tool, this one is Chinese SDS 28.
Software comes in the CD along with the package, haven't got used to it yet. Still learning. Have not explored it much, just cleared the DTC's, reset the ISC and TPS.

Here is the link to purchase.

Yeah, thats what I figured. The original is super expensive. I have a chinese one but it keeps giving me data base error unfortunately and the .db file error.

Thanks for the link. Maybe yours will work. I have an ecu editor for most everything though but having the oem diagnostic tool is always helpful.

Does it also reflash the ecu? If yes, what software do they provide for custom Tune

Which Chinese you got? healtech copy or the same SDS which I have.

Woolich is the perfect tool, but way out of budget for me. Just wanted a simple tool to diag and read the value. I am not a pro yet in understanding the terms and flashing, gradually will learn.

Suzuki these days are using the SDSII Module, that touch screen one.

re: My Garage: Suzuki Bandit GSF1250, Kawasaki Ninja 1000 Z1000SX & 2016 Triumph Thunderbird Storm 1700

I initially used Woolich Racing for fiddling with my ecu and removing restrictions like hard/soft fuel cuts etc. I now have the boost by smith ecu editor ( quite popular with the hayabusa riding community hence the change). Both amazing and very very thorough. Of-course far beyond my capabilities to tune.

Have been on the lookout for the OEM SDS tool for long.I have the same Chinese one that you have, maybe a different seller/model. The cd I got just refuses to read the database files. I know it communicates with my ecu but thats about it.

I am a novice with regards to ECU tuning. My knowledge and fiddling capabilities end at Power commander and this SDS, can't think beyond with the fear of frying my ECU

OEM SDS you can definitely buy one but its very expensive, if I have to buy a OEM SDS it will be the SDS2 which is anyday better than the SDS1 we have.

Which windows version do you use this SDS on, these work only on XP and Vista at the max. I have this 7 years old Samsung netbook which runs Vista, SDS works file.
Tell me one thing, does this SDS allow remapping? If you can list down the things you have tried with it, I would love to try.

Now that I think about it, it was a laptop running XP. It just refused to read files of the cd that I got. Kept giving me database file error, files do no not exist/reset. The thing is, tool is available but the original cd is only sold to authorized dealers.

This was almost 10 years ago. I have moved to a different editing software now.

I now use the Ecu editor harness. Helped me to sync my throttle bodies by turning off the electronic idle control . The SDS lets you do this.

SDS is mostly a diagnostic tools and basically helps in reading/clearing error codes and is regular maintenance by altering values like Short term/long term fuel trim, vehicle speed/engine speed/ IAT, throttle position, advance timing, battery voltage, throttle opening etc but not really for mapping.

Interesting fact: You could actually get into dealer mode and clear F1 codes on the hayabusa using just a paper clip.
