Good pricing IMO. A better package than Z1000/N1000.

Any specific reason why you say this is a better package? Price is in a similar range. I think Z1000 looks much better than the GSX-1000.
The only advantage I see is the TC in the naked version which Z1000 doesnt have.

May not look as 'wild' as the Z1000 but definitely better looking than the FZ-1 and the Honda CB 1000 IMO. I simply love that suzuki blue shade. Will this be sold through the regular Suzuki dealership or will only limited dealers maintain stock?

Naked variant of Suzuki is lighter by almost 17KG when compared to Z1000 and has traction control and power modes which i feel is required on these bikes. It costs a little bit less than Z1000 makes it a VFM package.

Even the faired variant of suzuki is lighter by 17KG when compared to N1000 but both have traction control and power modes.
Black-Red combo looks awesome and i read suzuki has worked hard towards making these bikes more nimble/agile.

New Suzuki SBK

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at picking up a bike from Dream Suzuki Mumbai. I'm looking at the Suzuki 1000 naked. I'm already convinced about the bike and it's exactly what I want, so this post is not to ask about opinions or views on the bike.

What im really keen on knowing before conducting a 10lac+ transaction is if anyone has had any bad experience with Dream Suzuki or if there's anying I should watch out for.

Maybe after the Kawasaki episode I'm just being too cautious and/paranoid. But just to be sure I thought I'd ask.

Thanks in advance for any information or tips.

Which Kawaski episode are you refering to? (There have been multiple issues.)

My advise would be quite simple if you don't trust the dealer. Pay only the booking amount and pay the rest only after you see the bike at the stockyard. It may delay your delivery by a day or two, but should give you some peace of mind.

Well, more specifically to the Kawasaki Palm beach episode.

Any leads on the track record of Dream Suzuki would be much appreciated. Things such as buying experience, after sales and service set up.

I also think it is a better package than Z1000 with ride modes as well for 3 level of ride conditions i.e. Sports (Full power - Level A), Road (Medium power - Level B) and Rain (Slowest - Level C).

The GSX is also equipped along-with 3 level of traction controls viz -
Mode 1 - Track
Mode 2 - Road
Mode 3 - Rain

Cheers,
Amey

Dream Suzuki is owned by DSG with their HQ in Pune. DSG is the sole authorized Importer & Distributor for Alpinestars in India. The owner, Mr Harjeet Singh Makkar is a very professional & genuine guy. I don't think he will even think of cheating anyone. Money is the last thing for him, Goodwill & Reputation is foremost. Go right ahead & get your bike bro. Cheers.

Re: Suzuki GSX-1000 and GSX-1000F launched in India

I can speak from the ownership experience of a friend who own a V-strom in Pune. The bike had a minor fall and had to be taken to Dream Suzuki for repairs. It took months for parts to arrive. Communication from the dealer during this time was almost non-existent. The owner regretted having spent 16-17L on a bike which had a rather long down time due to non-availability of parts.

I'd suggest you look at the track record of service for all SBK dealers in town and you'll realize that almost all of them have a rather poor track record. The expertise, finesse and professionalism required in handling SBKs is still lacking at most dealerships.
