Since your location says you stay in Hyderabad, this would be the perfect website for you: Driven - Hyderabad

Plenty of options to chose from - both two wheels and four wheels.

Happy motoring !

Re: Triumph Tiger 800 XCx - Ownership Report

V12 told me to read your review about the Tiger. I think you have written this from a POV of a "Cog" inside the Tiger. Pretty damn awesome.

I had a similar incident as yours with my bike. Barring the fact that i did not fall. I just got stuck standing in another motorbike. Now when i think of it, the entire thing was funny. Just grumbled my way back home. I hate it when you get punished for no fault of yours.

I hope that you ride more and explore more. Enjoy the triple whine.

In the meantime, here's a video which i think is pretty cool. May be someday when i do own a Tiger, this is what i'd love to do.

Re: Triumph Tiger 800 XCx - Ownership Report

A bit late to the party, but congratulations veerameti on the tiger

I had checked out the tiger 800 series at the local showroom recently, and it is one awesome bike!

Any specific reason why you chose the XCx model over the XRx model?

Ride safe.....

Re: Triumph Tiger 800 XCx - Ownership Report

Hi Anand,

Sorry for the late response, reasons for choosing XCx over XRx were - WP Suspension adjustable, centre stand standard and aluminium sump guard versus plastic sump guard. Factoring in last two items as extra fitting, price was pretty close. Also spoked wheels against alloys, now I have seen even spoked rims getting bent. I have spent considerable amount to convert the spoked rims to tubeless type.

Thanks for the reply. Is the WP suspension on the XCx model much better as compared to the stock XRx suspension? Just asking in case you had a chance to test both out back-to-back on our bad Indian roads.

Yes the WP Suspension on XCx is much better than Showa on XRx...

@veerameti any chance I could speak to you One on One. In the process of buying a Tiger XRX. Wanted to get your 2 cents, overall on the bike.

Re: Triumph Tiger 800 XCx - Ownership Report

Sad to update that Veeranna passed away today morning after a brief illness. I came to know through our Bangalore Tigers WhatsApp group. I had met him couple of times at various meets and last being our Bangalore Triumph Rider Groups 5th Anniversary overnight ride last year. I still remember him pulling over to check on me and my buddy who had stopped for a bio break on our return trip.

Very jovial and helpful gentleman he was. May his soul rest in peace and offer my condolences and prayers to the family.

Re: Triumph Tiger 800 XCx - Ownership Report

Extremely sad to hear this news. My condolences to his family and friends. May his soul rest in peace.

I have met Veerameti when he was in Pune for a couple of days while he was riding to Delhi from Bangalore, some 4-5 years back. A few of us bhpians had a nice late night coffee meet-up with Veeranna. Later when I was in Bangalore for some work, I caught up with him at Orion Mall for lunch followed by a visit to the Dainese store. Very genuine, soft-spoken and helpful personality. Very sad to learn about his demise.

Sad. May his soul rest in peace.

I remember this report vividly because of the mention of cruise control! I was very curious about this feature and had checked the availability in the entry-level variants back then - this was before my purchase of the Versys 650.
