What is your first bike? Do you plan on touring all day? If you're looking for a fun machine, I gotta say, the ZX6R is an absolute riot to ride. It's what I'd pick over the Ninja 1000 any day of the week. Unfortunately for me, it can't be an only bike, so my search continues.
First/current bike is the GS 1200 adventure, thats more than enough for my touring needs I know but I sure wont mind touring with the 2nd bike too. I am 6'1" so the ZX6R is going to be too cramped for any reasonable comfort.

About the Z900RS, it is still very much listed on the Kawasaki India website so they are still selling it. But price is a real downer.

In my passive hunt for an inline 4, I have given some thought to the ZZR1400 and the Busa too but they are overkills and again pricing is significantly more than the Ninja 1000.

You will be amazed what these open class bikes go for in the used market.

A few years old under 10k kms run zzr1400 or Gsx1300r is going to be a phenomenal value if you just search around a bit.

And Of course, there is no competition when it comes to touring very fast and in comfort on these two bikes.

Yes kind of aware and open to it, although I am also keen on a brand new machine. I think from a comfort and "fast" point of view in India, the Ninja 1000SX should be equally good as compared to these 2 I mentioned?

It is actually all relative. I find the 650/800 cc category extremely boring and not suited for my spirited highway riding style.

On the other hand I took a Duke 390 on the hills and it was phenomenal. 3 liter class bikes had a hard time getting ahead as long as we were on the twisties.

I have ridden the Ninja 1000. Its a nice comfortable/spacious bike with matching performance. I ve heard the new 2020 model is even better with alot of goodies thrown in. You will not go wrong with this if this is what you decide to pick up.

I don't see the height being an issue with the ZX6R, but, touring will be. If you want a second tourer, the Ninja 1000 is really the best value sports tourer around in India. Incase you're open to considering a Naked, take a gander at the 2020 Z900, that's an impressive bit of kit with just about enough electronics to keep you safe. Although 'm 5"10' and I found the Z900 too low with poor ergos for me
