Whoever this Uday gent is, would he consider a swap? Is that Bandit a runner, and clean?

The Rune is in a league of its own. It looks like something from the future. There are 3-4 of them here.

The Yellow Bandit is a 1200.

Uday would take your Blade with open arms because its a 100 times better than that Bandit. Clean?? A bike that has been used by the film industry? You cannot buy a worse bike. The pictures speak for themselves as to how its been maintained.

Oh no. I didn't think of that angle. Real pity when a bike's abused that way.

The Rune looks delicious. Is it a flat-6 1800 like the Gold Wing?

There were 2 Bandits, 2 Busas and 7 GSXR - 600 s used for the shoot, Out of which 1 bandit, both busas and 5 600s would be a no buy in my case.

Check the bike out, cosmetic damage might be all there is to it (along with a sheer lack of interest in riding it leading to it sitting around)

Cheers

Robin

One of the Bandits crashed during the shoot. I remember seeing a clipping of the bike skidding, and hitting the cameraman.

Sorry to take this OT:
I came across this bike (similar to mine, just the naked version) on another forum. I loved the way the wheels look.
Can someone tell me how to get the rims painted black? Also,is it as simple as using a spray paint, and letting the rims dry up before riding? Any issues with the braking?

Everyone from spot boys to cameramen and god knows who else would have abused that Bandit.

Yes, the Rune's got the same engine from the Goldwing.

I have ridden, or should I say tried to ride one of the red/black busa from the movie and it was so abused that the bike was moving forward even with the clutch lever pull all the way in. Obviously the clutch plate was completely burnt.

One of those gixxers is for sale now.

You need to get the wheels powder coated. Spray painting it will not be a good idea at all because when the time comes to sell the bike, it will look like a cheap paint job. Actually, keep in mind that the '04 SV 650 never had black rims. So any smart person that has done his homework will know that you've re-painted them and then the first thing that comes to mind is "crashed".

What exactly are you asking about the brakes?

P.S. - I couldn't download that exhaust video because the code that you have to enter always comes up as "invalid code".

Ah, through the lens, darkly.

Paint your wagon!

Nitin: Looks superb. It shouldn't be a big deal getting your wheels painted- any decent paint shop should be able to do it for you. Rotors must be masked, IMO, as the solvent required to clean up afterwards could mess up your braking.

Good luck.

Hey Straight6. Nopes, its not the Rune. Just checked, its the Honda VTX 1300.
Did a google search for this pic. Will try getting the original pics in a couple of days.

Which is better? The Rune or VTX? Sorry, but im a bummer in bikes.

X-Machine: Sir, 'better' is subjective, and sorry to answer when your query wasn't directed at me. I'm a big fan of multis over the V-2s, so it will be the Rune for me.
All the same, that's a beaut of a picture.

About the other gent's wheels: yes, certainly. Powder coating is a far better solution.

one of my cousin spotted this when he had been to mumbai !!

That R1 must have been spotted at Carter road in Bandra, Its always parked there on the weekends. The bike is a complete re-paint.

Aha. My best friend rides a VTX 1800 in the US. This 1300 is ridden by a lot of women there. Its a nice bike though. Not common like the Boulevard/Intruder. In fact, I have never spotted a VTX myself in Bombay.

The Rune is a very different bike. Its extremely expensive too. It costs above $20K in the US and Its discontinued now. Ideal, if you want to be different. Not my kind though.
