I got mine too.. a Katana!!
It's pure thrilling exhilaration.. I love the fact that I started off my SBK life on this one..

Though I'm still new to a lot of things about the engine.. want to learn a lot more..
It's been a week, and I'm feeling lots of shortcomings in the bike.. Not sure if the seller actually gave it in a good condition.. :(
The throttle wire disconnected yesterday.. thankfully I wasn't far from home.. :P
Now, when I've given it to the mech for tune up and all he says he'd also put in new Jets (fuel) for which he's asking another 5k (INR)..
Not sure if it's worth it..

Howz yrs trending ??
Any suggestions for a newbie on a Katana..??

Cheers,
J.

Don't mean to poop on your party, but be careful out there. 75% of all Suzuki's crash within 6 months of ownership because the inexperienced squids race them. Your first thoughts on "maneuvering through downtown" and "highway videos" are worrying me. You don't want to be a squid and become a statistic.

Ride safe and be sensible. Take the BRC and the ERC before you take any serious rides on the bike. It wouldn't have been a bad idea to start on a Ninja 250. You want to be in it for the long haul, not crash and never get back to motorcycling, which is a common thread among many squids.
