Hi Amar
I am very happy and contended working on my vehicle. I am trying to get the other guys in my group similar reliable vehicles and if someone is enthusiastic then I try out some extreme mod with him. But so far all the mods have been at my expense. Its just the sheer pleasure, knowledge enhancement and personal satisfaction that I get by working on this vehicle that makes me go back to them
We use our vehicles in the activities of our NGO - Widcats Nature Club www.wildcatsnatureclub.com - which is working for Tiger Conservation using the model of ecotourism in the periphery of tiger reserves. I use my Gypsy for Willdlife Photography in the tiger reserves around Nagpur on weekends.

Hey Dr. Ghosh,

Any particular reason why you are intent on MG 410's? Is it the front Grill (which differs from the King), or is it something else?

Zorro4X4

I want to restore an mg410 as I already have 2 mg413's
And if possible try and convert the mg410 into an 1.3 mpfi.

regards,
Dr. A Ghosh

As the others have mentioned, this Gypsy is absolute JUNK. Run away as fast as you can.

Of course, I must add, the main reason is that you don't own it already. If it went back a long time in your life, and you had a special attachment to the car, I'd highly recommend a rebuild. There is something immensely satisfying about rebuilding a car...it's like giving shape to a baby.

Picture of my Jeep before she went under a complete restoration. This was the result of her standing in one spot for a couple of years, while I was away for my MBA:

And two post-restoration pictures:

I would suggest "STAY AWAY FROM IT" the only free thing you will get after getting this junk is SLEEPLESS NIGHTS

Dr Sahib - Now you would have realized the corollaries of buying this one. Just to add on to this, I have a friend who bought one such vehicle and spent almost 3 Lakhs to bring it back to shape.. Not worth it sir... the time, the money !

main thing is that you need an engine and whole lot of other things.

Restoration is not difficult if you know stuff and you have right people for the job.
