Wow! It seems this is going to be one of the largest meets for TBHP Kolkata guys. The last one in April '12 had 15+ cars(don't remember the exact number). Let's do some campaigning and add up a few more this time.

Thanks much to planet_rocker as was not following the other threads other than the travelogue section.

But for myself the disappointment is due to the fact that I will not be there, leaving around 15th for a trip. I really looked forward to a great gathering and catching up with other bhpians - it has been a long long time for me now other than the brief stop at the gathering while on return in April.


Definitely you all will have a great meet, the list is rapidly increasing.

Can't you delay your trip by a day and start it from the meet itself? Doing opposite of the April meet when you arrived at the meet on you way back home from a trip. At least The Magnificient Tourer would be cleaner at the meet this time -

Oh blimey me, another trip (I am pleasantly shocked). Lucky you. Where to now? Hope you will finish your Zanskar travelogue before you are off again. Waiting to hear the story of being some of the first adventurers into the forbidden areas of Kashmir.

Myself I looked forward to a meet and as said it has been long long time since a meeting that only prompted me to drive over there on the return - to catch up with so many new guys and of course our old lot - the one in april I was more like a zombie driving overnight on a potholled and whatnot NH34 and my apologies always to xeta of not correctly recognizing him till the last moment!

The trip will start on around 14th - it was previously scheduled a month earlier but due to work pressures it was postponed.

The tickets are of train and then of bus - all connecting tickets so not much leeway in terms of dates .


As to the trip, i am heading out myself and would be back by end of Sept or first week of October.


Zanskar and Kashmir travel story I would absolutely finish before going, thats been the resolve till now.

Yes genuinely shocked now. Your noble steed is not going with you this time. Anyway wish you all the very best for your trip and hope you have a great time wherever you are going. There will be always a next time for a TBHP meet and I am sure the TBHP family here would be much bigger next time around.

Few Suggestions:

1. Fort William Gate No 3 @6am & Move out by 7am (Latest), we all can park behind each other & after assembling we can simply take Vidya Sagar Setu

2. Gather a little after Dankuni Toll Plaza @7:30am (Latest)

Gibran - We need to have to meeting places and for Saltlake City dwellers, it has to be somewhere near Nibedita Setu / Belghoria Express way - ideally Windsor Honda Showroom.

We can meet near Arsalan / beside IOC Pump and move ahead and gather with Group 2 near Dankuni Toll Plaza. That is how it was done earlier. It can be changed if others agree

Windsor Honda Showroom is a good idea, or we can meet in front of Haldiram also gather with group2 @ Dankuni toll plaza...
