Pune meet on 13th July 2006

shrivz suggests a drive to lonavla (the virgin route) via pavana which is taking a detour from the paud bus stop on mulshi road, and then you reach lonavla in the end.. its an amazing drive, but rough roads......

im game for it but sometime during the next week preferably thursday , other days im free from six pm so a night time drive would be cool just so long as we're back by six unless its on wednesday cos thursday is chhutti !!!

people in pune with ideas either for a different venue or a different kind of meet please post !!!

ps :: its been too long since the last pune meet !!! ( the last one i attended anyway )

I was thinking of driving into those hills anyway, lonavala is too crowded these days, too commercialized, too dirty........ branching off into unknown territory in those hills might lead us to a nice waterfall or something.......chill there......head back!!!!

I'm going there anyway................

I'm keeping an eye on this topic & will mostly be in for this drive, though during the week it won't be possible due to collage.
Also myself not a very big fan of night travel.

Hmmm, the bypass is a great venue, however now, because of the rains we'll just have to drive up and back down, no getting out, lining up and having a photo-session!!!
Driving into the ghats sounds like a plan, but if majority of the members don't wanna venture out into the ghats then i'm guessing the bypass it is!!!

how abt this.. lets meetup at d cafe mocha on law coll rd, chill for a while.. and then proceed for a drive tward nda, then take the bypass from there.. wat say ppl.. since deccan is the most central location..

I'm planning on driving to Matheran this Saturday (early morning) with a bunch of friends... the more the merrier, but not sure if Matheran is a great place for a t-bhp meet! Can't cancel this one guys... please dont make the meet this weekend!

Wanna great drive from Pune? Nice roads, nice destination? How about Mahableshwar / Panchgani?

I drove there last winter and the roads were fabulous back then (not sure now). There are lots of nice straight sections, medium difficulty ghat sections with some nice twisties and breathtaking scenery all the way! We could even make it an overnighter if everybody is ok with that

Whaddya say boys 'n girls?

Since this is going to be a day meet (as opposed to late mid evening) edmund and me are free on thursday and friday being the 13th and 14th of the month ,

if most people are free on different days then we'll either be out of it or maybe meet up if it extends into the evening ......
