Me out of town on coming weekend.

Lavasa on 19th sounds good for me too

Yup. I'm out for this one as well. Need someplace where my car can go & return in a tank of fuel, max 350 km round trip. Don't trust the gas you get outta city.

Sorry elf, OT, but I was introduced to an excellent pump on the expressway by 2L8. It's the Indian Oil pump after lonavala, on the way to Mumbai. Good fuel and 1 rupee cheaper than mumbai.

Muchas Gracias Sam, but am quite pedantic about using Power, so don't know if IOC'd have an equivalent.

And I've seen / heard enough real outta town petrol pump horror stories to trust pumps along the way.

Besides, the name Lavasa sounds obscene to me... like being goosed or something.

Charles is right.

And that doesn't even include the driving around in Lavasa or whatever. Methinks we're looking at a 500km round trip for the Bombay boys, a bit much in terms of fuel :
highway high-speed gas mileage for my car, approx. 8 km/ltr,
trip distance - 500 km,
fuel required - 63 ltrs,
cost of gas per litre - about 59 bucks,
cost of gas for trip - about 3700 bucks.
