Pune - Dinner meet 27th July 2007 - Reports and Pics

Ok guys.. i am not so good at writing reports et al. But here's short one with few pics.

I'll start with the roll-call :
members present -
Dippy - tonights cheapguesht and 'the mod who drove someone else's Ferrari'
Moralfibre - organiser, accountant etc etc
Karl - Karlos singh fiatwalleh
Shrivz - dud with exhaust that flows very freely -- To know how, ask MF - he can give you the best description

swale84 - going to office tomorrow ??
Raja - my apologies mate - after UK, you have to drive in Pune
Superavi - member of ATM frequent visitor club
Amey - 2L KM driven Lancer Diesel - holy cow !!
Needausername - ??? - but yes, that is a username
torqueunlimited - dud, you missed a hell lot of nice kheema and caramel custard
Greatguy - 1st Peugeot fan I've met
Ram - sir, you and ajinkya missed the fun @ Grand

met up with the guys at Grand Hotel - the official venue for Pune meets at 8.30PM. The cheapguesht of this one, was certain Mr.Dippy. Gang had already started on with few KFs and some nice Paneer Chilli. The usual talks - automotive, ICE, FIAT etc etc went on. Nothin much to type more ( Pune meets are not so full of entertainment yet :-P )

@amey, raja, needausername ( yeah - you really do ) - it was nice talkin to you guys.

Then at about 9.45PM, we headed off for dinner at Dorabjee's - Awesome food !! Best keema i've had in a long time. To be frank, there's nothing much to write about what we talked about and all - everyone was more interested in gobbling up.

We left the place at abt 10.30ish to meet B&T @ Hotel Grand - yes, again as rest of the cars were parked there. Chatted around for 5-10 mins and left for home.
All in all, a good meet.
That is all from my side. Expecting other reports soon.

Pics : Nothing much on this part too but I'll post what i have clicked.

Have tried to put the respective username to every face. The ones that are missing : Moralfibre and swale84 - dono ke liye bass naam hi kafi hai i guess :P

Great evening meeting new friends. Food was awesome. Didn't get as many beers in as I would have liked (note to myself, get there earlier next time. Don't waste precious drinking time!). Fun evening.

B&T came late. So we decided to give him company for dinner.

Went to Aurora Towers, but because of their dirty filthy coffee shop, we decided to move onto the Blue Diamond where B&T was put up. A lot of car talks and some other very interesting conversations happened there!

It was a very enjoyable meet for sure. Met a lot of new people.
Enjoyed the food at dorabjee's
Didnt get to talk to all of em but managed to have a long conversation with Hkanitkar, Shrivz,needausername,raja and so on.
Definitely looking forward for the next meet.

@ Shrivz, man i couldnt experience your ICE properly

We should meet up again for that

It was nice talking to you man, got a lot of important info from you, appreciate it!

Maybe with more meets, i will get to know the other guys more.

Just woke up and got to work again.

Report:

I was working since Wednesday with only 6 hours of sleep. Was totally wasted by yesterday afternoon and all I could see was my bed at home. Called up Shrivz and told him that I wouldn't be able to make it for a long time but just drop by and say hi. Finally at 6 I left from office in a dead sleepy state. Called up Shrivz and told him that I will be in Grand at about 6:30 and will make an early exit. Dippy and Shrivz were already there and we just started Beering. The beer got the better of me (Yeah I know thats nothing new). Decided to try and hold up for as long as possible. Karl joined us half an hour later and the real gang started turning up after that and I hardly remember the order in which they arrived owing to a sleepy state I was in. Went off to dinner to Dorabjee's and had a feast. 15 hungry BHPians attacking Mutton Cutlets, Mutton Biryani, Dhasak Daal, Kheema, Caramel Custard, Frams Raspberry/Lemon, etc. And we paid up a pittance for whatever we ate and decided to head off to Grand because Bass&(loads of)Trouble had just reached Pune and was heading to Grand to meet us from Blue Diamond. Most of the gang left for home and we drunkards (read as me only) headed off to Aurora Towers Coffee shop. Bad luck as usual when you are thirsty, the bar is shut and this is at 11:30! Sad state of affairs in Pune. The table at Aurora Towers was dirty and none of the staff was courteous enough to even serve us water. Decided to move to Blue Diamond and from there I hardly remember what happened. I was just physically present and mentally in bed giving out some words just to show my presence. Finally at 1 am decided to head home and crashed.

It was nice to meet new faces which include, Superavi, Raja, Gr8guy, Needausername, Amey, Radek. Hope that you guys enjoyed yourselves too and make it for the drive next Sunday to Mahabaleshwar.

Hope the cheapguests from Mumbai had fun too. Dippy's trip was food and hope you enjoyed the dinner at Dorab's.

You know guys, I actually ended up with carrying more money in my pocket on my return which I realized just now. If any of you over paid, please collect your money from me. My accountancy was quite beneficial and I can organize more meets if this continues
