Hello Chennai Bhpians,

I'm a newbie turned bhpian who lives in Alwarpet. I was following this thread the last few days and I'm well aware of this scheduled meet, but sadly I was unable to participate.

It feels good to say 'Hi' virtually over this thread by seeing your faces in the pictures. Hope to meet you all in person some other time

It's nice to see such a good turnout for the meet. Unfortunately not been in chennai so couldn't join. I hope there will be a meet in august as I will be in chennai then.

Had a really nice time. Meet did feel a wee bit incomplete, as it did not involve a proper drive and a chance to check out the other cars.

We must do the drive soon.
Awaiting the pics from the other cameras.

Just got a call from my SA stating that VW has put all the GT deliveries on hold because of capacity issues!!!!. My SA is still trying to push my case. No words to express my frustration.

Bhuvan - looks like it would take a few more days at least to confirm on the booking. One of my friends did a check with a few VW dealers today and the message was consistent, waiting period of 5 months in metros and up to 8 months in other areas. My SA has promised to push my case as I happen to be among the initial set of customers and if nothing positive turns out in the next couple of days, they will refund the booking amount.

Hey folks,
Anyone up for a drive this Saturday to pondy and mahabs ? Saturday traffic on ecr is much lesser than Sunday, hence the choice of Saturday.
I've come up with an itinerary like below:

7am- meet at ecr toll plaza
9:30am - breakfast at one of the French places in pondy
11-1 - drive to mahabs plus photoshoot and sampling other members rides
1:30 - lunch at Moonrakers
3- leave for Chennai

Suggestions and changes are welcome. Lets see if we can pull this one off. Weather has been really good past couple of days too.

Fine with this route too. I've never been on this, but heard that traffic is much higher ?
