Exotic Cheese, Wine and Biryani meets Hyderabad TBHPian's

Hillram was planning for a meet at his home for a long time and it was not working out due to everybody's hectic schedules. Finally, it was decided between us a couple of days prior to the meet date that it will happen on Oct 23rd.

We met up at his apartment at 7:30pm and before going up we (Me, Naveen and kkrk2) checked out his phenomenal car and bike collection parked in the apartment. Just for information to people who are reading this, Hillram has following cars and bikes collection ( real ones not miniatures) :-

Opel COrsa
Palio GTX
Tata Sierra
Fiat
Lancer Cedia Sports
Bajaj Enticer
Lamberreta
Yamaha Rx-100
Bobby
And, a couple of days ago he bought a 1974 Toyota with a rear wheel

And, all of them in such immaculate condition that you will think they just stepped out of a showroom and each one of them has lots of stickering job on them. Check out his garage to know what i am saying.

Then after going up, we saw Suren and Hillram waiting for us and got introduced to Hillram's better half and his kid and then the party swung into action. We had several bottles of red wine and white wines and followed by some non-alcoholic wines too which are collections from across the world. The cheese was out of this world too, mostly french ( Camembrete, Paprika and Brie).

In a little while, Rider60 joins and after consuming quite a few bottles of reds and whites and checked out his amazing miniature car and gun collection. Around 10:00pm, we decided its time to head out for some food. And, we ( Sans Suren and Naveen) took a ride in his brand new cedia sports to the biryani joint.

There i enjoyed one of the best biryani's in hyderabad ( according to me after a long time) at Mandar in the 4 Seasons food court. And, returned home dodging cops who are these days jacked up their checking for drunk driving.

Folks who attended the meet : Mobike008, Hillram, kkrk2, Suren181,Rider60, Naveen k.k

We had a fantastic time and allow me some pictures that can sum up my outline above.

Dippy I was thinking about you when avi(mobike) was taking the pic of the evo. Yes he has lots of scale model cars(also planes/helicopters) some still to be unpacked!!!

But alas, we were having a feast and forgot about taking the pics. Also I was unable to take good pics with avi's DSLR so didn't bother to ask avi also. But sure we will post later.

Thanks Gents for the comments, we indeed had a blast

His gun and miniature car collection is worth a visit to his home again !

I am little poor in manipulating the picture to insert names or maybe lazy too so spelling out the names based on the shirts worn

Lemon Yellow Half Shirt : Mobike008 ( Avinash)
White Round Neck T-Shirt : Hillram ( Ram)
Red T-Shirt with BOSTON written on it : Naveen K.K (Naveen)
Tall guy in Grey and White vertical stripes full shirt : kkrk2 ( Raj)
Orange T with long wild hair, ADIDAS written on it : Rider60 ( Yashraj)
Dark Bluish/Grey Plain Shirt : Suren181 ( Suren)

That was a wonderful meet, thanks Ram, and Vijay too for his company. I bet Vijay (Ram's son) has got that wheels thing in his DNA. He was playing with cars and trucks with me naming Porche's and trucks. Haven't ever met a kid learning words with names like Porche, BMW, Chevy than Apple, Ball, Cat.

Wines were pretty good, and cheese too, more than that the time was so fun with all your presence.

Pleased with your hosting. Honored for all your company. I regret not to accompany you for the dinner.
