It sure is creating a lot of confusion .
Venue - Stop and Stare . Then go anywhere else if you guys want to .
Time could be 530 as we'd be having this one a longer one. As in the meet .

i dont know personally which date to go in for .Because i am just in india for 10-15 days that too for some visas stuff. As per 8th is concerned i am not too sure to be able to join because i am going back to US on 9. So you guys go ahead and select a date and i will see if i am able to join or not . My schedule is all tentative so dont want to force you guys to change the date for me and then i will be a "no show" in the end and dont want to screw you guys up:).

Hey Guys... I met up with Smalhotra_93 yesterday and talked to him about my concerns about the meet and I dont mean to offend anyone with I am about to say but its gotta be said.
It seems like most meets are based on company and not activity, this is supposed to be about more than just a few ppl getting together to discuss the same things they have discussed before. I dont see the point to a meet unless an activity is picked or a theme something that the meet should be based on.
A drive during rush hour from Sec A to Sec B , Eat and just stand around doing nothing is as fruitless as the results of this thread so far.
I am voting for a sport bar to watch the f1 race, someplace with tons of room for parking and reservations ahead of time for the clients who have confirmed their coming. Otherwise it just seems very unproductive and booring.
I dont mean to offend anyone but come on guys this is so easy, meet for F1. If you cant make it, then there is always the next F1 race.
It can also be based on a late night drive without traffic so that we can actually drive instead of dodging scooters and pedestrians.
We can also base it around IPL matches.
Anyone got any more ideas?
Agree with Speed666 . But the only problem with the late night drive is that my parents won't allow because I'm just 17 ! You guys are way elder to me so you got your freedom at hand . I don't mind an F1 meet too . Sports bar - Only option - Score !

Yeah a late night drive or F1 seems like a good idea.

Why dont we catch motoGP on 2nd ? Definitely more exciting than F1.

Next F1 Race is on 9th may.
Timings i am not sure about.

but most of the members,read married people\students are not
in fact we have had Team-bhp meets as late or as early as 2am,not much people know about them.
We dont go around driving during peak hours,as traffic conditioned are going from bad to worse in chandigarh.

Meets are neither based on company nor activity. Having an F1 meet was just a suggestion.
In the past we have tried to arrange big meet based on activities and trust me none of the plans have ever worked, as most of the BHPians from Chandigarh are married or students.

oh boy that was one fun day. It had it all:
1. Chick Fighting
2. Revving cars at 7800 RPM
3. Great Music
4. Nice food
And on top of that it was the longest Chandigarh meet ever. Started at evening and ended next day evening.
See . Something like the above case as mentioned by abhishek needs to be done . Well , not exactly the same for me though . You guys might want to continue but ill be more than happy to see you guys , have some chit chat , some food might work too and music is always there .
Lets just meet on 8th/9th and then decide what to do, trust me this will work the best, we can have food/geri/hookah/F1/cocaine. Whatever we want to and decide there and then, else we will just end up creating a mess and pissing off a few members. Just a suggestion, if anything can be worked out, well and good.

PS: I also suggest MotoGP will be a far better idea.
