now cant wait to do whole car!

I'd say its a great wax if used to top up a sealant! :D

Sohail... sir... that is awesomeness!
Can this be applied on a day old layer of Megs NXT Gen 2 Wax?

Thank you sir! :D

It works best if applied on a sealant(Megs NXT 2.0 is a sealant)
If a day has passed after NXT application, then you can use collinite to top it up! :D

(but generally 2 thin coats of NXT topped with collinite might look a lil' better!)

I don't have a DA! :(

but I was kinda surprised to see that it goes on easily and buffs off easily too! (very minor streaking is there)

to remove the wax, I just mist the mf cloth with pure(RO) water and then go about removing it!(that way removal is easy with minimal streaking)

Thats superb finish sohail!! I always wonder that u spend more hours detailing the car than actually driving it. Why are the seat plastics stilll on?

Its been a busy schedule for me for the last month and im sure the watchman has done away with the two coats of turtlewax during his washes. Also, the rains are causing extra dirt to be available to induce swirls during washes. The only saving grace is that he is using running water and not buckets. Im gonna have lots of work to do after monsoon.

Anyways, I intermittently update myself of the postings and enjoy reading them

Awesome Finish , last pic is BEST !!!!

OH Man:eek: this is definitely one of the best results i have seen till date. The paint on i20 seems one step ahead of the mirror:D. BTW sohail does it (Collinite No.845) have minor swirl removing properties in it and will it be good for non sealant paint finishes.

I would like to know about the below mentioned products.
1. Platinum Car Wax |
2. eBay India: Eagle One - NANOWAX® SPRAY (item 140422819034 end time 31-Jul-2010 18:48:34 IST)

I intend to use one of these products on my Alto (dark blue shade). Can i use the NANOWAX spray as the initial product after washing the car or is it only for layering the previous coat. Do suggest any good wax product(if needed) apart from these within the Rs. 500 range as am on a tight budget right now. Also would like to know of some good polish which can be used to coat the (black) plastic parts of the car such as windshield cowl, bumpers, under the hood plastic items (air filter housing) and interiors too.
Currently am using the Waxpol hard cake on the car's body along with the Waxpol tyre shine after a good wash with the stock shampoo supplied by MGA. Am a little worried about the black bumpers as am not using anything to protect them. Also which brand microfibre cloth is good considering its price and reliability.
PS: Hows the Turtlewax super hard shell.

Glad you liked my work!:D

Collinite No.845 does not have any abrasives!!
Its a pure carnauba wax which is (allegedly)quite a lot durable than other carnauba waxes on the market!

and yea, you can use it without a sealant no probs!

----------

Platinum car wax is a blended cleaner wax!(as in it has polymers, carnauba and mild abrasives)

It does provide a good shine but I stopped using it due to the abrasives!

Nanowax spray is a spray wax, mainly meant for reviving a already waxed surface that has lost its 'just waxed' appearance. Also adding a thin layer of protection over the already waxed parts!

its kind of like a Quick Detail spray if you are in a hurry and want your waxed vehicle to shine just like it used to after a proper waxing session!

but if used alone, its durability is quite less(additionally affected by rain/sun exposure/bird poo etc.)

Sohail, where did you get Collinite 845 from, the same distributor mentioned by GTO?

Yup! :D

here's the link GTO mentioned - B B Impex (P) Ltd. All India car accessories importers, distributors & Branding Agents, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkatta, Chennai, hyderabad

Contact person is Mr. Sanjay

just mail him(email id in the link) and he'll get back to you ASAP!

The results with the Collinite 845 are WOW, Sohail !

It has brought out the depth & intense reflections, like a pure carnauba wax should :)

Do keep us posted on the durability,

BTW, Thanks for the tip on removing the sunfilm marks on glass with ISopropyl alcohol, The gummy residue came off within seconds !! Gave the entire inside & outside of the glass a thorough wipedown with it & its become crystal clear now clap:

guys - any idea on how to remove the stickers put on by service centers? They look and feel quite durable.

moist with water continously for a few minutes and just peal it off. Use petrol/kerosene to remove the glue stuck on the face of the mirror. This is how I removed the DSC sticker at the back of my i10. It was neat!.

Guys, how bad is turbentine to the paint? *i havent used it on the car, but when i used it on some other painted surface it had amazing results*

MutantX,
You are lucky that using petrol/kerosene removed the sticker and did not go on to the paint. Otherwise you would be weakening the clear.

Regarding turpentine on paint, well if you like to clean your face with turpentine it would be good for your car. Remember any solvent based product is going to weaken the clear. There is a general rule, what is good for your face is good for your car.

I really get surprised that people use Surf to clean their cars. I would never wash my face with Surf.lol:
