The finish is more than just a gloss or wet look it really looks like the surface is glazed (like porcelain) and water just runs off. This is one of the best products around.

I used the very same product on my car 2 weeks back, and the results were astonishing! It never looked this good ever since it came out of the showroom 3 years ago. I ended up going to the parking lot even without reason just to see the shine. :)

A big thumbs up for the 3M liquid wax. :thumbs up

P.S. : In the 3 years since i bought the car, this is the first time i gave it a wax treatment.

I don't know about cleaning agents, But it doesn't have abrasives for sure! It's just smooth like shampoo.
The abel auto wax is a mixture of canuruba and synthetic polymer waxes.

Cheers,

Always use a completely dry microfiber cloth to buff, Cotton cloths wont do much justice. Rubbing with a moist cloth will remove more wax from the surface.
For application, Use an applicator sponge or a small piece of a regular sponge.

That's too bad benbsb, Wax your car at least once in two months.

Where did you buy them in Singapore? I can buy them when i go there next year.

You can just get details about a product, You cannot add to cart and check out. That thing doesn't work.

The dealers in India don't have all the products, They only have nxt waxes and shampoos. :Frustrati

You can try Metro cash&carry Yeshwantpur if you have a metro card or catch hold of any of your friends having a metro card.
Polishing/buffer machine is useful for professionals, I recommend you to buy some nice microfiber cloths for polishing, a little more pressure on the machine can cut through your paint in no time. What do you plan to do with the machine anyway?

I have used this wax years ago and it lasts between 1 and 3 months depending on running, usage, washing etc.

Cheers,

Ravvs, i saw the result in person and it indeed has resulted in glossy shine on your Laura.

Hi Avi, Glad you noticed but IIRC the Laura was 'work in progress' when you saw it. I had done only the roof, bonnet and dickie by that time.

The 3M lPremium Wax-Liquid costs Rs.80/- per bottle of 100 ml. One bottle lasts for about 4 to 5 applications. I have used it on all my cars over time (Padmini, 118, Corsa and now the Laura and GTX) and the results are really good, best of all hard water does not seem to affect it.

I picked the present lot at the HIAS from 'Car Jewels' stall so, Car Jewels on Minister Rd. should have it. There is another small shop opp. the school on Bazar Guard Rd. chap sells automotive paints, polishes etc. I used to buy it from him.

Cheers,

Cheers,

Even here in a small city like Kollam, it is easily avaialble even in auto paint shops. I have been using it and found good. But F1 is even better, if genuine. Also I do wax once a month.

The earlier dealer where i used to give the car for servicing used to apply wax following the service. I dont think the current one does though.

Personally, this was the first time i waxed the car. :) Now that the habit is ingrained, it surely will continue.

Good to hear that. I have a bottle lying in some bottom drawer. Planning to fish it out this weekend and work on my car with it. I have absolutely no experience with liquid waxes, so thanks for the tip Ravveendrra.

have anyone tried these opn their cars?.

i clicked the pics when i went to 3M for paint protection for my linea. ( pics here - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...s-pg42-44.html).

Is it advisable to use products like these at home?. or is it to be used with rotary polisher only?

Finesse-it is a fine rubbing compound and very good for minor scratches. For small parts, even your finger will do. Have been using it for long. See my post no.1048.
