Could someone help me locate that kind of spray nozzle in BLR?

Hey Akshay, if you happen to come to koramangala, you can buy it from a guy who is selling the same thing on roadside. if you want exact location, i will attach a map to that location.

Here is the map with the location of the street hawker who sells these kind of spray nozzles for 100 bucks. I have been using the one from him and its good quality for that kind of money. Now no more running to the tap to close the water flow or yelling at a family member to stop the water flow holding the pipe in your hand. :D God!!! I hated doing that everytime I washed my car.

Hey there Atul, Thanks a lot for the map man, I've even tried ordering it from HK, DealExtreme: $6.74 Nozzle Adjustable Gardening Water Spray Gun
It will be of a great help for people who wash their cars often, Like me.
I'll try finding the vendor if i vist that locality.

@Akshay,

Thanks to Atul-C, your search seems to end in Bangalore itself :) if you cant find the product there, do let me know, i will pick it up for you from the exhibition, i may be going there again on 19th.

It is an Arts & Handicrafts exhibition, held at Nerul, Navi Mumbai, near Moraj Residency.

Brought this simple Four Step Water Sprayer from an exhibition today, the guy demonstrated the four steps of the water spray, i quite liked it :) if anyone of you have used this thing, do share the experience, i will be using this on next Saturday.

I have had it for the last 6-8 years and it is still working. Does the job well but the water pressure is not very good, at least for me as i am in an independent house. For those in flats , it will give much better results. I have attached a a slightly bigger hose than my garden hose to the sprayer so i can easily fit it and remove it .You can use the knob behind the lever to adjust and hold the spray pattern as well without pressing the black lever.

At $6.74 it is too costly for a plastic one. The best nozzle you can get for the money is this one and it is better than a lot of more costlier ones. Amazon.com: Gilmour 528 Solid Brass Twist Nozzle: Home Improvement This nozzle combined with a quick release coupling works great. The pressure you get out of this nozzle is really good and it is easy to adjust the spray pattern ( just turn ). It is made of brass and rubber and so is durable.

Nut-case, thanks for sharing the information, yesterday, i was just trying the product for washing the Glass Window, it worked perfectly and gave a good pressure, but as soon as i released the lever, the pipe connected to the tap came out, i think it created a back pressure when i released / stopped using the spray.

Have you experienced this situation ?, if yes, do suggest what needs to be done to avoid the pipe coming out of the tap, or the back pressure is not created.

Well it happens even without the sprayer attachment as soon as you close the hose end with your finger or if the hose kinks, it creates pressure in the tube and it slips off the tap. To prevent this happening you can use 2 methods.

1. Tie a piece of strong thread about 1 - 2 inches from the end of the tube leaving both ends of the thread free and after attaching it to the tap tie the thread/rope onto the tap firmly.

2. Get an attachment ( from a plumbing/hardware store) that has an end to attach your hose and the other end goes on the tap which will have a plastic strap and a knob which can be tightened around the tap mouth.

Thanks for the amazon link, I'll try ordering if there's someone coming from the US.

@Akshay,

Did you get the sprayer on the location suggested by Atul-C ?

What will be the approximate cost of getting the car washed and waxed on a quarterly basis? Though my car is parked inside our premises, it is bang on the main road with heavy traffic and open to sky. I have to always keep it covered due to the heavy dust, and am afraid I will cause scratches if I try to wax it myself in that place.

I would like to get it done in a covered, dust free place. I understand the dust can simply be brushed off if the car is properly waxed? Please suggest a good place in Chennai where the price will not be daylight robbery!

I have recently waxed my one month old car with 3M Liquid wax (80 INR), but i hardly notice any difference in the shine etc. I followed the instructions as written on the wax container. I left it to haze (3 mins max) and then rubbed the wax off. Am i missing something here or as my car is new i am not seeing a noticeable difference?

What is the color of your car?
If it's a light color,Ex. Silver Gray,the shine will not be seen easily.
Waxing looks very gorgeous in dark shades Ex. Black and Red
