Must be from the damp cloth you used last. Most likely it's only a surface coating -- if it can be scooped off the wax should still be usable.

Hi everyone,
Just used Waxpol on my car today & I am impressed by what this product can do, both to the car as well as to my biceps :)
But I would say that the shine I would get by using a Formula 1 or 3M was better. The only domain where this hard-cake steals the game is the content of wax in it. I cannot say about the quality though because I have no means of knowing it for sure & any wax would bead water from any surface.
I usually follow a practice (specially when using a product for the first time) which is to put one or two drops of water on a waxed surface & see if it beads the water well or not (the droplets should run down on a tilted surface). And Waxpol surely got the highest score in that. I also remember somebody mentioning about the water beading of the cloth they had used to apply the wax onto the car. Well, I second that. It took me some effort & time to get that cloth adequately clean for future use.
Also, this product surely does not have any abrasives in it (if it does, they have to be minimal). Even the slightest stains were not removed until some pressure was applied.
And lastly, I will have to re-adjust my hand to apply less & buff more in relative to the other common brands like 3M or Formula 1. :D
Happy & safe driving,
Prakhar
I have a question , if i use waxpol - can i still use Formula 1 once in a month for Shine ???

Do the opposite, use F1 first and then seal it with waxpol.

Hi everybody,
I have been using F1 & 3M since the past about 2 years now & have been satisfied with them.
But had a query pertaining to winters. I find that during winters, even if I have polished the car very well the previous day (like maybe 2-3 layers), then also due to the fog the effectiveness of the wax takes a beating in a big way. That water that accumulates on the body specially the bonnet & roof, takes away the wax effect in a maximum of two days & then makes it difficult to clean the car & I end up waxing it all over again.
Is there any way to protect the car from this fog during winters except for covering the car as I have no choice but to park the car outside the house in the open. Please help!!!!!please:
Thanks,
Prakhar |
Hi everybody,
Any suggestions on the above query, please please:
Drive safe,
Prakhar

Do make sure that the Formula 1 you use / purchase is an authentic one and not a fake / copy. :)

Dude, thats the problem with these waxes - they shine pretty well, but don't last. Thats why you could try the Waxpol that is being discussed. Other option is the pricy Colinite recommended by Bigman in earlier posts (please search).

Wouldn't do that if I were you. But if you are bent on it, then I'd suggest you do what Bigman mentioned.

agree: If Waxpol does not help you then Colinite might but its extremely expensive. My Junkindica is parked out in the open in Cochin with rain and fog nearly 6 months of the year and the Waxpol lasts 3 months at the bare minimum.

Maglev, almost all F1's I've come across lately in Delhi and also at the In & Out stores are without any importer's details. So, it's really difficult to ascertain the authenticity now.
Are the F1 wax available at Big Bazaar real or fake?
I would need some specific advice on car exterior. In my office there is no covered car park and the car is parked in open in stark sunlight for the whole day. Considering how sunny it is in chennai, I am worried about by my car's exterior. Is there any additional treatment I can do to avoid fading / loss of gloss due to direct sunlight apart from regular polishing? Please suggest.
