That's true. Also, ensure that the wax you purchased is original.

Its baker's chocolate. I think the wax is original as its 3M and comes cheap.

I would like to get it done in a covered, dust free place. I understand the dust can simply be brushed off if the car is properly waxed? Please suggest a good place in Chennai where the price will not be daylight robbery!

I don't know how good these people are or how much they cost. This ad was posted in this thread somewhere and i had saved it. Maybe you can give them try and let us know .

Hi Nut Case,

You have done a good job of referring these people for the timeless people. Let me call and check and give the review or report for the benefit of our team mates.

Did you able to feel the satin Touch feel on rubbing your hand on the waxed area?

Hi Guys, I have just ordered a package from Pegasus car detailing/Washing and Polishing services.

The sales guy said he would come in some time and help me sign agreement and also explain what needs to be done. Can anyone who has opted for pegasus tell me how good their service is?

I talked with the person incharge (Vijay). He seem to be extremely professional and know what needs to be done.

Further details once the sales person visits me in some time

No buddy, The place where the nozzles are sold is about 15-20Kms away from my house, And my BIL who works close to that place is super busy at work, so he couldn't go there either.:Frustrati

Hey Guys!

I was cleaning up the basement store and I found something unusual!

Maybe my dad had bought it long ago or something!

Its "DuPont Highlighting Glaze 3000S"

I researched on it a bit and came to know its a polishing compound! - DuPont Refinish - Colour Formulations - Collision Repair - more than just paint

Please guide me on how to use it properly
and other Pros and Cons of the same!please:

Cleaning with water alone is not actually cleaning off the dust. We need to wash with a car shampoo to actually clean the car, which is not practical for a regular office-goer. So All I do is wash with Formula1 car shampoo once a week and dry the car with chamois leather. Then I apply Formula 1 wax polish and buff it. Due to the wax coating, the dust actually settles superficially and can be remoed by just dusting it.I dont wash car daily, just once a week. Do not use chamois/microfiber for cleaning, use it only for drying after a good car wash.

Hi dude,
Where in chennai do you get chamois or microfiber, how does it look like.

If u have metro in chennai. Check it out. U should get Chamois / micro finre. If not any other good automotive accesory shop should have the stock. I would like to share my thoughts on keeping the car nice and shiny

Hi guys,
Is the liquid wash and wax and car shampoo the same thing?

Great advice regarding car care Rudra Ji

btw I'm facing a huge problem now-a-days!

there seems to be loads of dust accumulation on my car everyday!
and since I recently got my i20, I'm kinda obsessed in seeing its 'just out of showroom' finish everyday!!stupid:

Though I wash it every week with Meguiars's Gold Class car shampoo and wax with turtle-wax, the very next day its covered with heaps of dust!!

I know for a fact that straight away wiping the car, which is dust-laiden will cause scratches!

And I cant afford to wash it everyday as I need to leave early in the morning everyday!

Is there any product such as California Duster available in India, more specifically.. in Delhi?

Though I can order it frm abroad(it'll take too long for it to arrive to me!), but I need it as soon as possible, as the dust problem is becoming a real pain to manage!

Please suggest some solutions!please:

You can minimize the dust accumulating on your i20, Cover your car with a car cover after washing it, After a drive, use products like "water less car wash" from xenos or use spray detailers, then, gently wipe the car with a high quality microfiber cloth and cover the car. Make sure you wash the car with water if it is too dusty or muddy, Use the waterless car wash only when there is little accumulation of dust.
