YES!! Mostly may be taking delivery of the car form Cochin -(logistical reasons) - The debate is whether to run the vehicle in first before installing it .... ORrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ????

Any thoughts??

Ummm... guys... I would suggest that you first stop using the premium variety of the fuel. I tried out the combination and did not find any difference except for the price :P That is if the pump is a good reputed one. I took the confirmation from experts in the automotive fields as well as owners who have had a lot of past exp in the matter. The verdict was always the same. The premium variety of diesel is always a lot of gas (pun intended).

If you really want some cleaners add them separately with the regular diesel. Also, if the smoke problem persists change the pump. You will be surprised that once you start filling from a reputed pump more often than not the problem vanishes.

Update

Here is the update -

Just back from a mad 465 km Blast ... Smoked every moving thing on the road ... NO SMOKE - better still got 17.93kmpl - despite all that spirited driving! When you consider a normal filter (waiting for methods to give me my replacement for the wrong K&N they had sold me), Fatter Rubber 195/60 - R14's and some gear-grind - IS GOOD - what say? (No ... no petes box in this car)

Most of all NO SMOKE - even under hard accelaration... Guess we can put the lid on that one!

Can be closed

Yes I agree too on this. I have done a lot of interstate driving and I haven't faced the issue with XtraMile and TurboJet

I think we can request the Mod's to close the thread..

Cheers

hi guys,

reviving this thread cause iam facing problems with my accent crdi.

I bought this vehice second hand with service record. til now i have replaced the axles and some suspension parts. when i bought it, it gave a mileage of around 14-15 kmpl in city with AC. now the mileage has dropped considerably and it does around 8-9 kmpl with ac. there is no smoke that i have noticed. got the engine carbon cleaned when i bought the car. it has clocked 70k kms(it was 50k when i bought it) i have 15 inchers with 195 apollo acceleres from day 1. please help me out with this issue as its burning a hole in my pocket. on a full tank it covers a little less than 400kms. i have a very light foot.

cheers
