@DRIV3R- Are you sure about this?
I'm almost certain the Punto doesn't have this feature. I've driven close to 100kms after the low fuel warning. By the time I reached the filling station, I must have had a litre or two at max...nowhere during this drive did the compressor cut off.

Hey guys, I have heard from other Linea and Punto owners who are enthusiasts about this and also remember going through this feature in one of the Discover FIAT threads here.

I tried locating that post, got only this for now.

The same happened for 3 cars. And, I was told that they could fix it. I was not happy, I mean, if it leaks over the time .. and I know this is a tricky car issue and this gas leak could happen in a few places..

I am not an expert on the matter but i do know for a fact that the refrigerant is inflammable so maybe to limit fire hazard they are kept low . I guess an (inexpensive) refill should do the trick for you - a PDI is supposed to detect these kinds of deficiencies
