Racer_X I really feel sorry your your BIL and just hope he has his car back ASAP, Most importantly, without any further "Breaks"!!

With News of Fabia being Phased out running around, I can only imagine what Fabia Owners might be heading into.

O.T - Guys, I really wonder if the Indian Market is Too Good at Catching the Bugs in the European Cars or these Cars which Reach Indian Markets are not of the Best Quality.

Is it the Fabia being phased out, or only the lower versions being dropped from mfg. list?

Re: Skoda woes continues-2nd breakdown

Update : The problem is identified, the fuel pump has gone kaput and will be replaced. As usual the part is not available and will be sourced from Aurangabad. They also informed that the new fuel pump will be the upgraded one and will be replaced under warranty. Hopefully will get the car back in 6-7 days.

Confirmed with the dealership, that lower variant will be discontinued.

Ask him to do these simples steps.
  1. Remove the plastic engine shield.
  2. Check for strong smell of diesel.
  3. Check the nuts near injectors(Red Circle). Is there any trace of spray near the region (Blue Rectangle).
Is the nut loose ? If yes, the glow plug indicator is showing because of the wrong air/fuel mixture. Since diesel is leaking its due to fuel being lean.
