But after i'd replaced the bottom of the radiator, the mechanic asked me to not put coolant for 2-3 days because if there was any leak, the coolant would get wasted. He advised me to use the car on water and check the coolant reservoir if it is becomes empty again then there would possibly be more leakage.
What about the whole plumbing of the A/C system? If you hearing a "sssshhhh" type of sound then it does indicate a opeining / leak in the system.

Anurag.

He checked for leaks on the whole plumbing system. There was none.
The "ssshhh" type of sound was only once, after that the AC stopped working. After the servicing of the AC, there is a little bit of cooling but not much.
The AC mechanic told me this is the max to what it can go. But my car used to cool alot more before this problem started. He also charged me 1.5k for the servicing.

What exactly was done in this 'a/c service'? Was the a/c refrigerant refilled?

Yes, the A/C refrigerant was refilled which he says was empty. He also cleaned the cooling coil, etc.
