I ordered the ECU itself, ther stim and relay board. i shall be ordering the WB O2 sensor shortly... ir after i pay my credit card out... whichever is early.

it cost me $489.90 for the parts, Rs 1200 for bribe to customs official, and Rs. 471 as customs duty.

i know this is on the higher side, however, i think i know the loopholes now... hence will avoid them in future.

anyways, am hitting the workbench now... will keep you posted.

thanks,
Madhu.
I am planning a similar kit, please tell me if this worked out?

Regd Megasquirt kits

Dear friends,
Has come one purchased and used a Megaquirt EFI kit.
If so could you please share your success stories & the lessons learnt?
I would like to lay my hands on such a kit and enjoy the fun of tuning at home.
Thank you
-Ilango

I tried this in Malaysia in a friends proton and did not suceed due to the many variables. We had trouble at almost every stage. Probably we were not so programmingly and high level electrically apt to handle this task and the time and money. Ilango if you have a go ensure you have enough time and patience as well. Best of Luck!

Thanks for your wishes dude. Anyways could you please elaborate or at least list down the kind of hurdles you had faced? Your lessons could probably help me preparing myself in negotiating such hurdles or take help from the right kind of professionals.
By any chance is the kit still wi you?

Given the thread title, was wondering where you had gone!
Any progress with the CBR?

Re: Megasquirt - Advanced Electronic Fuel Injection Computer

The whole concept (wiring, tunes, logged data, conversion harness and OE replica plug socket design) was sold to a tuning shop in the US since I did not have the time and money to market/manufacture it myself. Have moved on to developing a couple of electronics projects for cars, plus putting time into my own car since it'll be raced next year in the Super Saloons.

The CBR is racking up mileage as a DD currently.

Will be opened up once I have a second car for daily use, probably before the end of October.

Re: Megasquirt - Advanced Electronic Fuel Injection Computer

No, the tuner/manufacturer wasn't interested in resolving it and he has been repeatedly shooting himself in the foot by insulting his customers. Switched to a different manufacturer and been getting great service and a broader powerband since then.
