Re: Skoda Octavia 1.8L DSG breakdown. Solved with fuel pump replacement

Just had a fuel pump replacement for my petrol Laura 1.8 TSI (2011)
Before the service, the advisor informed me that the fuel pump costs around 8,700. Now the work is done and miraculously, the part costs 25,000 and change. Does someone know what is off here?

Wasn't the car covered under extended warranty? 25k for fuel pump is rather steep, that too for an obsolete model. Since my car's fuel pump was replaced under warranty they never told me the price. As mentioned in your post it should not be more than 8-9k plus labour. Labour also s only removing of the rear seat bench. Make sure they fixed the rear seat properly as the locks under the seat are only for one time use, and need to be changed once removed and put back.
