Do both, no harm! But I prefer to call them first and then go to MASS. If they don't have the parts to change then you are only going to waste time and fuel.

My dad has received a call for both our cars, Swift ZDi and Ertiga ZDi

Folks!!here is the update on the recall:

It is not the fuel filler cap that gets replaced (in case if many still think so). It is the neck component of the fuel filler pipe that will be replaced during the recall. The suspect is the welding at the bend in the neck that could potentially lead to leakages and also result in diesel smell.

As for now, MSIL In in process of listing all the affected vehicles and will upload the same in their portal where the system will display a message upon matching the affected vehicle on their portal late this evening or by tomorrow morning.

The ASCs have received a circular already and will be dispatching letters (from what I am being told) to the owners of the affected vehicles.

Well the notice mentions that the dealer will contact the concerned owners but i think what you can do is call the nearest dealer , tell him your car is under this recall and simply go and get it changed , no need to wait for them to call you.

Now I am facing a new thing. The website shows my car under recall, but the dealer and Anytime Maruti both refuse to accept that my car is under recall. They say that they haven't received the data yet.
